Cyberpunk

Xtreme - A former Guardian turned solo. Xtreme arguably co-leads the Chosen, though lately he seems to have relinquished the post to the more active members. Is engaged to Nakita, but that too, seems to be a bit of frigid relationship. Half British and half Japanese, long white hair is his distinctive trademark, along with a single cyberear. Evolved into a Tinman form. His callous demenour is offset by good intentions, though they are often the first to put aside in any emergency, and he remains the counter balance to Jackals careless cruelty. A life of killing has hardened the man, but it has left its scars and recently, Xtreme has been exhibiting signs of pacifism which disturbs his comrades (Jackal in particular)more than anything they have ever faced. He has been rumoured to have killed his parents when he discovered their Yakuza connections, but nothing has been proved (or disapproved) Despite his advancing years, he is still the one of the best fighters in the group.

Jackal - Co-leader of the Chosen, though like Xtreme he seems to be relaxing his duties. Jackal was largely responsible for getting the team thrown out of the Revolution. His most prized possessions are his skills at pool (not swimming) and his almost godlike ability to ride a bike. Was once a wizard, but a freak biological twist robbed him of his powers, only to be infected again as a Hydra. He was the practical joker of the group until maturity snuck up on him and reluctantly he gave up the mantle. His early life remains locked up in his memory, though he has made it clear it was a turbelent affair that he'd rather not revisit. Jackal was a successful urban kneecapper in his youth, but gave that up after meeting Xtreme and shortly after joining the Revolution. His family are alive, but niether Jackal nor Nakita are currently willing to look for them. Jackal remains fiercely proud of his martial (and marital) status as top among the group. Recently, the inclusion of Zio in the group has breathed fresh life into the man as he feels he now has a pupil to unleash all his skills on.

Kristal - Unofficially, the third leader of the team, though many would like to dispute that. Despite her duties, she manages to remain fairly aloof from the party politics that often consume many members and manages to maintain a fairly independent status. She was the first of the group to be infected with the scanner sickness of the carbon plague and is probably amongst the most poweful of her kind. Her refusal to drop the moral codes of her old Streetfighter ties has put her at odds with some members of the team, though this has yet to amount to anything, but is admired by Xtreme who abandoned his own codes years ago. She has managed to work her way around many of the men in the group, yet avoided any severe negative reputation because of that. Easily identifiable by her shock of red hair and calculating eyes, not to mention her twin Qing Lang Does. Kristal does not bond well with strangers, but, as she says, she makes exceptions, however, to her eye, niether Renegade nor Zio have proved themselves to her yet.

Nakita - The third member of the team to join, she was, for a long time, a distance ice queen, who rarely contributed to the Chosen, whether it be in an arguement or a firefight. However, that changed once she started dating Xtreme and she was soon a leading element for many years, only, in turn, to fall out again as her relationship soured. Desperate to keep it together, Xtreme proposed recently and, almost out of politeness, Nakita accepted. Its anyones guess whether the marriage will be carried out.
Nakita is Jackals twin, though they share almost no similar features and are opposites in many respects, but this has served to bring them closer. Despite her total immersion of the Gothic culture, she has escaped many decadent practices, when those around her have fallen prey, particular Xtreme and Kristal who both suffered mild drug addictions, and for some years she has been fighting to recover her fiancee from its deadly spiral, which, as many have been quick to point, was almost the only affection the two have shown for each other in a long while.

Bruce - Is one half of the military duet of the group, along with Vincent. His early life remains largely a mystery, but his parentage is definately Australian. He joined a military academy earlier than Vincent but also left earlier as well, after witnesses a terrible massacre on nomads as part of an academy attache. He found service quickly as part of the new Revolution, where he met up with Xtreme, Jackal, Nakita and Kristal and joined their cell, and leaving with them when they were thrown out.
Bruce is the larger man of the pair, and many mistake this for stupidity, but his strategic mind is second to none, though few would admit that openly and Xtreme, Slick or Jackal never confirm a plan without his opinion. Together with Vincent, the pair remain as much out of party politics as possible, but inevitably they find themselves on one side or another, because of this, many in the group are wary of them, but what they see as no loyalty, Bruce maintains as defence.
Bruce has dated Aeris for many years, and the pair have been growing ever closer as other relationships grow apart. Many suspect that only its only a matter of time now before the pair settle down and leave the Chosen altogether.

Vincent - comprises the second half of the military duo, and together they provide a more level-headed counterweight to Jackals loud mercilessness and Xtremes quiet callousness. Their penchant for remaining aloof of party politics has more than once branded them as 'uncaring' but when the stakes are high and the chips are down, no one refuses their aid. And they always come.
Vincent was affected with the extremely rare and extremely powerful Crow form - something that has benefitted the group many times, but recently, Vincents pysche has been corrupted by the near constant trauma and he has been suffering increasingly sever breakdowns. So far, these draw backs haven't jepodised the group, but everyone nows it is probably only a matter of time. He has finally settled with Kristal, with him he shares many things in common and mutual mysteriousness, but it is hardly a match made in heaven and as his attacks grow ever stronger, the chances that Kristal will remain are looking increasingly grim. On the other hand, we might see an affectionate side of Kristal not shown before.

Renegade and Zio - Are also twins, but they share no common traits at all. They are also the newest members of the group, helping them out when the Chosen found themselves trapped and outnumbered. Renegade is dark-skinned, tall, cautious and suspicious, while her brother is shorter, much more relaxed, open and friendly. Jackal has taken a liking to the lad, and has taken him under his wing as a sort of apprentice. Renegade, so far, has been far more independent, and free roaming, but looks to be intergrating herself far more into the group now that her brother has made some in-roads.
Zio is famous for his matrix-esque jump-shooting, and is something that often results in a lot of bruises along his sides, but, as he is the first to remark, its 'nothing in the scheme of things' and he takes it in his stride, or fall.
Niether of the twins will talk about their parents, but simply say they were 'wronged', nobody knows who was wronged, or what about, and Kristal has been unable to find out. Zio maintians his childhood was easy but rushed while Renegade remains tight-lipped on the subject.
