SUSPICION
Willow thought about Riley's proposal all night. She couldn't believe that Buffy had bet against her. Some friend. She knew she shouldn't get too upset. The slayer was trying to get her to date Graham, but it didn't help her confidence much. She strolled across the commons, seeing her blonde friend. She started to walk towards her when she froze. She saw that Buffy was talking to Graham. Graham was shaking his head, talking with his hands. She watched, wishing she could read lips. She moved closer. "Graham, you can ask her out. I'm sure she'd say yes. Any girl would say yes." "Buffy, drop it. She thinks I'm a moron." "Willow likes morons. Hell, she had a crush on Xander for who knows how long. You couldn't have been as bad as him." "Thanks. Somehow that doesn't make me feel much better." "You're gorgeous Graham. She'll say yes." "No. Now, go away before I report you for harrassment." "Fine. Just think about it. You can ask Willow out." It finally made sense to Willow. That sneak Riley hadn't given her the whole story. Buffy was working on Graham. Damn them. She felt irritated at them both. Looking at Graham, she made her decision. She walked over to him. Clearing her throat softly, she said, "Excuse me." He looked up, a smile crossing his serious face.
