The Randix and Random Letters!

Letter 1
From Random to Randix:
(and Random's first experience with a computer terminal)

hhhhllihghghgxgsgsg\][,';''''       ;;lkkkl

this is something i do not understand. this big board of letters and [an illuminated tablet].  it is scary, but my alter-ego says that it is safe. i've been told that one before. though. i must admit that it is most interesting and a curious piece of craft. xxXXXXXXXXXXxxxxXXXXXx the button that says shift makes the letters bigger...

well, i thoughti would tell you that it was not easy seeing you so close to death. believe me. and you do not remember anything, hmm. but what i think is the most important thing is that you are still among the living, and you still have your wits about you.

yours, random, the unpredictable

Letter 2
From Randix to Random:
(and Randix's first experience with a computer terminal)
Random,
Your message was relayed to me, and I agree that this thing is very strange.  it feels weird under the fingers, smooth and rough at the same time. And the screen is hard to read, it hurts my eyes, very much your opposite. So I am dictating this to the DM, who writes it. But what I want to say is that I have never been that close to death before, but I am grateful that I was able to se you as the first thing when I woke up. It was very soothing. But I think that I will retire to the tower, to set up housekeeping, if you will, and to recouperate [sic] from that near death experience. When we get back to the towers, as I am loathe to leave you in the winderness, on this savage coast, with no one to take my place. So I will stay with you in body until we can get me a temporary replacement, and I hope I will stay with you in spirit until the end of eternity, as that is how you are with me.

Amicare,
Randix
(Upon the DM's request, Randix offers this translation of Amicare, pronounced ah-mih-CAR-ay: "I love you, my dearest friend.")

Letter 3
From Random to Randix:
(Their friend, Keltar Cirrin, had drowned in the previous nights' gaming session,
and Yinram, another companion, revealed some surprising true colors...)
greetings, randix.

i am sure that you share in my sorrow at the loss of a friend and fellow traveller. but it is in the past. i would like to thank you for helping me out of the water--twice. and for comforting me when yinram turned wolf. and yes, even for being so encouraging to my method of getting a boat (being cute). you have been there for me many a time, and there are few times when i actually take the time to thank you for it. so here i am thanking you. and i might also add that you are a most comfortable person to sleep against. in fact, i think i did.

thank you again,
random, the unpredictable.

Letter 4
From Randix to Random:
(Randix now feels solely responsible for taking care of Ailea and Random.)
Hello, love.

well, thanks for the praise. I am ...hmmm... sorry to see Keltar pass on, but I know he's in a better place, and I have to watch out for you two myself, now. Si that's what I"m doing, and that's part of the reason I helped you out so much. And you are cute...

Sincerely,
randix

Letter 5
From Random to Randix:
(Random complains about the DM, and Random's Revelation)
hello again, randix.

first of all, what you said at the end of your last letter really left me at a loss for words, and you know how tough that can be. and i happen to be quite fond of you as well. i do not believe that i have ever told you that in the way that i mean it now, and i mean it in the strongest of senses.

Will continue typing when it's not 3:15 in the morning. - cyberhez out -
