yucca meadows

you walk into a large, whitewash stable, identical to the others you've been into. the hallway is as always very wide, with cherry oak wood slats to make up the walls. the first stall you peer into suprises you greatly. there is no solid footing in the stall, just a manmade pool of crystal clear water. the pool does not have a cement bottom, like those you might see in a zoo, but instead has natural dirt and aquatic plants for flooring. not only that but in the water, partly submerged on the shallow bank, is a magnificent Vaale. instead of hind legs and the normal tail, this type of Vaale is equipped with a strong tail fin. in place of the ears you'd seen on Earth Vaale, these creatures have finlike ears. these have fin-spikes running down their elegant backs. as you goggle at the unique Vaale, you feel a hand gently prod your shoulder. you whirl around, suprised to see an old woman, smiling though from ear to ear.

"I didn't mean to suprise you youngin'. I'm Jemima Jones, you can call me J.J if you want."

the elderly woman grabs your hand with an unexpectedly strong grip. you return the shake, introducing yourself. you tell her in brief that you've been checking out the Vaale barns.

"well, you seem to have stumbled upon the Water Vaale barn -"

she says, grinnning proudly and sweeping a slightly wrinkled and stiff hand over the expanse of neat stalls. you nod, happy that the aged lady seemed to be enjoying her position of power.

"-, one of the most magnificent of the Vaale."

you raise an eyebrow, not thinking too much of the old woman's cockiness.

"well they're quite interesting."

she narrows her eyes, trying to look down at you, though standing at least a foot shorter. she whisks her hand upwards to pull her hair back. you cross your arms, beginning to tap your foot. the elderly lady sighs angrily, avoiding your eyes. she sure seemed to be 13 instead of around 80.

"well you can go ahead and look around I guess. just don't touch anything."

she turns on heel and shuffles away, head held high and gait bumpy. you snort quietly, turning back to the beautiful water Vaale... looking down the asile, you can see most stalls are setup like the one you're leaning against, however a few are half dry land and half water, with healthy marsh plants thriving along the water's edge.

Show Name: YM's Violet Waves

Breed: Water
Sex: Female
Color: Violet
Eyes: Light Blue
Hooves: Teal
Mane/Tail: Light Blue
Markings: Mottled
Parents: N/A
Personal Description: Violet is very gentle, yet she has her quirks. When shes out in the pasture with the rest of the vaare, she gets really rambunctious, but not over the top. She is very maternal, I can tell even though she has not yet given birth to any vaali. She often will tend to the other vaares babies when theyre tired, or even just take care of the other vaare. She if very attached to Toxic, even though he is a male. She likes to groom him over the fence, and just rests with him. Though he doesnt seem interested in her as a mate, he seems to return the friendliness.
