Sunset Celebration

Hybrid Tea 4 - 5'

"Pot o' Gold" x Seedling

Creamy apricot-amber, Pointed, ovoid buds, 4 1/2"-5 1/2" blooms with 25-30 petals, Fruity fragrance

FRYxotic: Fryer, 1994; AARS Winner 1998

This hardy award-winner, named for Sunset magazine, has a color blend that changes with the climate. In hot weather, the blooms intensify to amber-orange suffused with pink. Where temperatures are milder, they soften to warm, rich peach. Flowers have up to 30 petals on long, elegant stems. The scent is like fresh peaches or apricots.

I have been very pleased with this rose as it produces show quality blooms and is a great garden specimen. Growth habit is a typical upright V-shape. It is disease resistant and winter hardy. Easy to maintain, 'Sunset Celebration' will pump out enough blooms for gorgeous bouquets all summer long. Blooms can last 7-10 days as a cut flower. This rose makes my list of highly recommended roses and is an excellent choice for novice rose growers.
