The Fairy

Polyantha 3'

'Paul Crampel' x 'Lady Gay'

Double, light pink flowers: Double, Ruffled, Rosette, Tiny, 25 Petals, Lightly Fragrant: Apple

Bentall, 1932

aka: Fairy, Feerie

It is easy to see why 'The Fairy' has been a favorite among gardeners for over 70 years now. This is one prolific bloomer that goes non-stop till frost. For me, it begins blooming by Mother's Day and continues blooming well into October. Clusters of 1½" double, light pink flowers cover this spreading 3' plant. Just a couple of snips will give you a tiny bouquet that is adorable in a bud vase.Growth habit is compact and spreading. Prune this plant like a hedge by giving it just a light shearing.

'The Fairy' is very winter hardy and requires minimal maintenance. A good landscaping choice when space is limited.

ARS Rating: 8.7
