Standing on the bare ground—my head bathed by the blithe air and uplifted into infinite space—all mean egotism vanishes. I become a transparent eyeball; I am nothing; I see all; the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me; I am part or parcel of God.

From Emerson’s "Nature"

Cyberfeminism celebrates the postmodern technological revolution. Everything from cyberspace, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality are encompassed in its scope.

The prefix cyber, from the Greek word kybernetes--meaning helmsman or one who steers-- derives from the term cybernetics. Cybernetics is a theory of self-regulation; a cybernetic system is a feedback loop that is responsive to its own system. It can originate independent action according to its own analysis of its environment and surroundings.

Cyberfeminism, like its etymological origins, also responds to its surroundings and changes its own course according to the determination of the women guiding it. Cyberfeminism is a feminism that responds to the RL and the VR that surrounds it. Cyberfeminism is a metaphorical transparent eyeball--we are part or parcel of God--and She is beautiful.

Donna Haraway's Cyborg Manifesto suggested our cyborg outlines but not our borders. Those are for us to determine. Net utopianism, you say? This is infinite space--find me if you can...for I have already found myself in its coding. We are its cybernetic circuitry.
