Cubbie was originally released with the name "Brownie." It is now nearly impossible to find a Cubbie named Brownie. Cubbie is most remembered for when he was given out to the first 1000 children who attended Chicogo Cubs games. The fist give-away was May 18,1997.

Splash the whale is the one who taught her
Although reading is difficult under the water!
When Flash was retired, she was replaced by Echo.
Legs likes to live in a hollow log,
Legs likes to play leap-frog,
If you like to hang out at the lake,
Legs is the friend you'll make!
When Legs was realeased he seemed to be the first Beanie to "flood" the market, so of course, there were plenty to go around.
Ran into Patti one day while walking
Believe me she wouldn't stop talking
Listened and listened to her speak
That would explain her extra large beak!
Patti is the first Beanie to be made with four different shades of purple: magenta maroon and rasberry!
This lobster loves to pinch
Eating his food inch by inch
Balancing carefully with his tail
Miving forward as slow as a snail.
Pinchers was originally realease with the name "Punchers." Punchers and Brownie are basically the first Beanies introduced.
Splash likes to jump and dive
He's the fasted whale alive
He always wins the 100-yard-dash
With each victory he'll make a splash!
Splash is one of the hardest Beanies to find, being that he was one of the first to be retired.

Spot was origianlly realeased without a spot on his back. That version of Spot is difficult to find, and is worth over 1000 dollars! (But if you're willing to sell me one for $10, I'll take it :o) )
Squealer likes to joke around
He is known as the class clown
Listen to his stories for a little while
He is sure to make you smile.
Squealer had the longest life of any one of the Original 9 Beanies, as he was not retired until 1998!
