You may only contribute as an approved member. Members undertake not to amend another member's contribution. They may however suggest an amendment to any or all members.
Approved members are given an access password to enter the site in a special email send out to them by the webmaster. All members must agree before anyone new is approved as a member.
Members should under no circumstances give the password to anyone. It is for your personal use solely as a member.
First, it is suggested you print the following instructions.
1 To log into the site go to the URL http://geocities.yahoo.com
2 In the appropriate box showing there, sign in with the name of the site and the
password forwarded to you by email when you became a member
3 On the page that appears click on "Launch PageBuilder"
4 Allow "PageBuilder" to fully load. When it is finished loading, it will automatically take
you to the last page opened by the last member who accessed the site.
5 Go to the page on which is located the story you wish to contribute to by clicking on
the "Open" icon at the top left hand side of the page.
6 A list of files will appear - select the page on which the story is located and that you wish
to access
7 Click on the story text and a box will appear - start typing your addition
8 You may wish to commence your contribution with your member's nickname and date
(ie. mklsydFeb1,2001)
9 After you have added your contribution it is essential you then click once on the "Save"
icon at the left-hand top part of the icon tray at the top of the page. When you do that a
list of files opens up. The file you have just written will be highlighted. Click on "Save"
at the bottom of the box. (After it is saved, you will then see another box asking you do
"would you like to view your page" - click "OK"
10 When you are happy with what you have contributed, close the site
11 It is strongly suggested that members who have added a contribution to a story or
stories, after closing the site, go to the internet URL
www.geocities.com/cyberauthors/index.html
and save the story to a file on their own computer to establish a record of your
contribution.
