Toyotomi Hideyoshi is a representative man in history in old era He made headway in life to rule over the whole land from farmer's son Never such a people in history above him He might be respected all Japanese in a sense But he was a tyrant from another point of view Or his supporter might be a heartless fellow

A concubine of Kampaku Toyotomi Hidetugu This pricess Komahime She was a daughter of the lord of a castle Mogami Yoshimitu Five years ago (1590) Toyotomi Hidetugu fell in love with her the first time As Komahime grows she was a rare beauty girl And then Hidetugu wish for his aristocrat's concubine In those days female was used as one of political tools A girl must obey her father's order First time Yoshimitu refuse to give his daughter to Hidetugu But unavoidably he led Komahime to Kyoto from Yamagata Though when she arrived at Kyoto Hidetugu was given a doubt of a revolt from his uncle Hideyoshi He commits hara-kiri as a result of Further-more all of females who serve him turned out behead Komahime came to marry though she had not any time to see him But she (fifteen years old) was dragged Sanjyo riverbed And was decapitated at eleventh without pity in 1595 Her father Yoshimitu did appeal for mercy to Hideyoshi But that was not in time for stop Komahime would regret having her doom Yoshimitu would feel bitter the death of his daughter We can't imagine their feelings Later yoshimitu went over to the enemy's side against Hideyoshi

A matter of San Felipe That was on late August in 1596 A ship of San Felipe in Spain was caught in a storm Which was cast ashore at Tosa region in Japan A wrecked ship San Felipe was on the way to Mexico Which those days Japanese had never seen such a big sailboat Cargo was loaded on the ship with a rare article and many treasures A feudal lord makes a report on this situation to the ruler Toyotomi Hideyoshi in Osaka A magistrate Masuda Nagamori was sent as an inspector All of the cargo progress be confiscated entirely by Hideyoshi A chief officer Francis De Olandia got angry with this matter He spread out a world map toward Nagamori and threatened "Spain is wide, power is big. Now your owns way, but you'll pay for this afterward" A shrewd man Nagamori ask back to pretend not to care about "Well! Why is it reason so much wide and strong?" His answer was a thing to fix on Christian's destiny after that "Our country send a missionary at first, train up Christians, after that army is dispatched for protection of Christian" The astonishment of Nagamori was sent to Hideyoshi immidiatly Just at that time, Hideyoshi was given an idea about that Spanish was active behind the scenes where were Mexico, Peru and Philippine Islands Portuguese put exaggerated this or that ideas into Hidetoshi Portuguese were compete with Spain in those days Nagamori gave a slander to Hideyoshi "San Felipe has a number of soldier and arms. They have an intention of invade of our country. Missionaries are sent to prepare for that" Hideyoshi is red with anger at hear that, he gave a strict order at once "Kill out missionaries! Punish Christian without exception" Hereafter, it became to start at big persecution on Christian Stretch over 250 years, over 250,000 die martyrs.

That would be their thoughts of Francis padre and Baptist on board of San Felipe They were regarded as against Hideyoshi The Society of Jesus and the Francis was 6 member Still more Japanese Christian was 18 member Total 24 Christian got to be done an execution in Nagasaki They are chosen as a prime Christian Christian only in Oosaka and Kyoto has thousands in those days They have their ear cut off as a warning to others on January 3rd in 1597 After being dragged around the town in Kyoto on the cart was pulled by cattle Next day Oosaka and Sakai in the same way Their death road begins to Nagasaki 5 days later That is to spread around a ban on Christianity to the countries On the way to Nagasaki 2 Japanese Christian joined the party of the martyr Both devout Christian believed the laurels of martyrdom to the death It end a journey on foot for 33 days, 800 kilo meters from Kyoto to Nagasaki Many people came together at the hill in Nishisaka in February 5th 1597 To long for the sight of the martyr to kill The cross was set at stand in a line on the hill Martyrs 26 member who arrived at a place of execution Was bound up on the cross The execution start when the sunshine in the winter come near at noon From both ends of the 26 crosses They were thrust with a spear one after another Jesus and Maryth cinto the voice of around the people The scream of the martyrs went to sink into At last a pastor Peter Baptist shed holy blood and finished this execution The remains was crucified that was exposed to for 80 days It is called their clothes and the earth of the blood Was taken away as a sacred relic by believers This was beginning of the persecution on Christianity There after over 600 Christian's holy blood was shed in this hill

You came to Hiroshima after Olympic Games With your husband who is a gold medal in Los Angeles Olympic A couple is running in an athletic stadium in Hiroshima In a moment every spectators heat up to see you I was happy to see you at a close

You came to Japan at times there after Suddenly we hear you died a heart attack in California You ends your life at 38 years old on September in 1998 That is too early to go Please accept my sincere condolences!
