Unbinding Love

Love, there is nothing I want more
Than to capture you and place you in a cage
My love for you is boundless and it is you that I adore
You instill within me a passion with such a rage
That only by capturing you within my arms can I be truly satisfied;

But I do realize, my love
That you desire freedom more than life itself
And it pains you to be chained like a wounded turtle dove
And sit inside a steel cage beside my kitchen shelf
While I enjoy your company for my selfish purposes forever;

I am truly sorry, dear
If I make of you a caged bird
I do not mean to entrap you with my affection, but this I fear
That you do not comprehend my undying love for you;

So I can only show this undying love
By capturing you within my heart and soul forever
Until I can make you mine; I simply cannot have enough
Of your sweet passion and this enrages me in a selfish madness
But I will release you, do not worry
I know how much you love your freedom
I only wish to make you happy
I know that if I detain you here forever, handsome
Your only instinct is to fly away;

So I will be lenient and let you go
Even though my heart is aching
I must let your love for me grow
For love is patient and long-suffering
And it is only fair that I let you love me in your own way;

I must learn to let love spread its beautiful wings of gold
And not try to choke it with a strong and greedy hold!!!

A Human Treasure Chest

The human heart
is a fragile hope chest
A place where all your dreams and hopes go
A safe retreat to delve into
When life slaps you with harsh reality;
The human heart is a fragile organ
It is an intricate jewelry box
So vulnerable and delicate
Beware....for the human heart is irreplaceable
Treat well your hert
Be kind and gentle
For inside is the home of all your inspirations
Take good care of the human heart
For it is like a jewelry box to your soul
It is the keepsake of all your dreams, hopes and expectations!!!

Upon Life

On the dawn of my Birthday
I do reflect upon my life
And I am grateful for each and every day
The good days as well as the ones of strife
My life has been a mixture of bad days and good
But mostly I remember
The good days that I've been given
And I reflect upon the reason of my personhood
And then I look within my heart and find the answer:
I have come into this world to do good
If I can be of service to humanity
Let me do it now...for tomorrow i may not be here
I only come this way but once
And I must make each day a masterpiece!!!

The Thief Who Ripped My Heart To Shreads

Dear heart, does she love you as much as I do?
For my love for you is strong
Is her love deep and true?

I thought that you and I were meant to be together
I really thought that love was our destiny
But now youve found another

Does she fulfill all your ultimate dreams?
Can she love you like I love you, dear?
Love, it seems
Like I will never calm this fear

I fear that I may lose you forever
And that is something terrible that I cant bear to face
It seems Ive lost you to her

Now I cannot bear to be alone like this
Without your love I am lost for an eternity
Do not punish me this way, please

My love for you has always been solid and sure
So how can you repay me this way, love
This cruelty imposed upon my heart , my soul can never ever endure!

The Pheonix

Like the pheonix
My heart has risen
out of the ashes of my past
And has flourished into a new and lasting relationship
That could withstand the test of time;

Many times in my youth
I've been a slave to love
yet only have I felt love's abuse
And I have the scars to prove it!
Now I've finally taken
The wings of the dove
And have broken love's chains forever

never more will I allow myself to bleed
Over some lover's jeoulous quest
Or let passion nullify my aching need
For freedom and independance
no more will I let lust
Hold me captive
Upon eroticism ship
For now I've tasted of love's sacred wine
And felt true passion take control of me
Now with love's golden key
Does my llife begin to open
And like the pheonix
I rise to new hights once more
and am reborn again
Unto the light of true devotion
And romance
From an untimely death
That kept my soul in darkness!

Miami

A gentle breeze
Flows freely across the blue Atlantic
Gracefully the tall native, southernbelles sway
In a rhythmic dance
Graciously they move their curved bodies
With perfect symmetry and perfect ease;
The tides clash against the golden shore
The sun gazes upon its own reflection
In his crystal-clear looking glass
upon a turqouise ocean
Everywhre you turn in this Island Paradise
There is a panoramic view
Of scenic wonder and surprise
Miami is alive
With the sounds of laughter, excitement and romance...
In the air you can smell a clean, fresh scent..
The aroma of foamy beaches and tropical breezes
That cools this island tropics
And sets the mood just ripe
For relaxation and tranquility

Ahh! Miami
City of sunshine and of my youth
I long to sense you within my soul once more
And walk barefoot along your many miles of golden sand
And feel your warmth burn my flesh in hues of gold
Ahh!! Miami
You are quite a breath-taking sight to behold!!

God's Creation

Each time the raindrops fall upon the Earth
And the Dew moistens the tender blades of grass
Weaving a misty tapestry
In an intricate design
I cannot help but watch in silent awe
And marvel at the beauty of the universe;
Each time the Rainbow crowns the sky
Like an iridescent diadem
When it casts a prism
As light touches the thin patches of air and water
I am spellbound as I behold all of Nature;
How astonishing are the laws of Nature!
How mysterious, how awe-inspiring!
I cannot help and stop and wonder
How moon, stars, and the planets all are held together

by an invisible band called 'gravity'
It is quite breathtaking
To watfch the rising of the sun
All in its precise season
Yet most mysterious of all
Is the hand that set Creation forth
Out of nothing what-so-ever!!!

A Lover's Birthday Wish

Today I turned a year older...wiser
And as I stood there with eyes closed and mouth puckered like a fish
As the candle glowed in the darkness in a steady flicker
I closed my eyes and thought of you and so I made my wish
The candlelight looked beautiful against the darkness
And the magical glow filled the air
Whilst my heart made its special desire to still this sadness
By wishing you were here
Your absense distresses me
It fills me with dispair
And I cannot enjoy a moment's glee
Without your thoughts capturing me in a snare
And so as I turn a year older...wiser
I thought that it would be best if we
Could come into each other's lives and be together
And share our lives with all its ups, downs, and live happily
It is my birthday wish that you and I
Can be together for eternity
Without your love I will simply wither and die
So please look into my heart and hear my plea

Make this birthday wish come true
Come into my sanctity
I will be waiting there for you!!!

Easter

The tulips scent the warm spring air
With the sweet aromatic fragrance
Little rabbits, chicks, and lambs
Open their eyes
To an early spring
Easter is finally here again
It fills my heart with joy...
A joy that fills my life with happiness
And refreshes my soul
With a fresh sense of renewal
When the soul is asleep
In winter's icy grip
It is so nice to awaken
To Spring's warm sunshine
To a world of flowers and fresh air
Easter brings such a sweet surprise
To a dead world of snow and ice!!!

The Instigator

Pow! The smell of gun powder
Hit the atmosphere
Sending an acrid stench of sulpher
That was quite sharp and severe;

Bits and pieces of metal spilt everywhere in sight
Maiming, injuring and killing the innocent victims in the room
It all started with a secret which the wick did light
Slowly, intensely did the tension loom

The explosion happened so suddenly
Nobody had a chance to evacuate
There was a long list of casualties
And as I read the obituraries of the victims did I ponder
How can a heart be so full of hate
That it can be so cold as to slander
And in an instant kill and maime and totally annihilate

She annihilated a whole roomfool with her endless chatter
Without alms she totally wiped out an entire family
Her mouth was a short fused firecracker
That went off instantaneously!!

A Stitch In Time

Sitting here, needle in hand
I attempt to make a masterpiece
I pull the cloth tightly against the band
And thread the needle with ease
In my mind ive created the perfect tapestry
A beautiful design
of intricate pattern and artistry
My hands, dainty and small
commense its task
And carefully pulls with great care the needle
And begins to embroider with yellow flask
some design that is soft, femine and beautiful
In time I embroider a red, red rose
With a kelly green stem
Oh!! I am out of white floss
A fine crafter I am...
I run out of material
Before my project is done!

My Feverish Obsession

I am obssessed by the luminescence of your smile
Your essence has captivated my soul
With the elegance of your style
You, love, my very being does enthrall

I can breathe your essence inside of me
My heart sings like the lark
It sings joyously
As it treads upon the soft grass of Braddrock's park;

I cannot sleep longing for your touch
I am feverish and delirious over you
Love, can a person die of loving too much?
My love, this feverish obssesion

leaves my whole entire being tired, sad and blue!

The Butterfly

Butterfly
Dance the dance of freedom's song
You flutter your wings and away you fly
Your wings of gold are dainty but strong
Like a beautiful ballerina you do your plies
And off you go to blue, blue skies
Butterfly
You dainty dame
You add beauty to this earth
Without you life won't be the same
For your presence adds grace and lustre to the universe

And suddenly....calmness?

The Kiss

The Ruby gently pressed
upon the velvet texture of the flower
With such finesse that I must attest
Can only come from just one word from Loves power
The sweet fragrance of his breath
Left a dewey residue
Which gave her a youthful look upon her countenance
And I do declare with such precision
That there is none so beaming in such elegance
And there is no human emotion
Left that can honestly express
The beauty that came over this gentle rose
The very instant that she was tickled pink by loves sweet kiss
And this is why to this very day, this flower with a redness glows!

Shakesphere

The phantom of Shakesphear
With golden pen
By my bed one day did he appear
In my ear he whispered poetic jargon

My head all full of Iambic Pentameter
I get up from my bed anxious and weary
In search of pen and paper
My mind scrambles and I begin to worry
As my hand feverishly work and guides my pen across the page
As my mind transfers ideas unto the pen with such a fierce rage
Until I produce a Literary masterpiece
Of which the Phantom of Shakespear could be proud

My Virtue Is A Prize

My virtue is a prize
To be earned by a kingly man
It cannot be bought, sold, or negociated in a compromise....
My virtue can only be won in a contest by a true gentleman

My virtue is above everything else in this existance
The knight who pursues my heart and soul
Must be an expert huntsman, willing to take a chance
And set his mark upon the goal

This contest is not easy
It takes great skills to obtain success
But great joy and victory
Far outweighs the battle and endless stress
Only those brave knights that can pass these pre-requisites
Get a chance to woo my heart and soul
And it is only the best man of all these numberous suitors
Who walks off with my Virtue lifted high upon a pedestal!

ICQ Sonnet

We met on ICQ....
Our conversations were endless.
When I came home from work all my thoughts turned to you
I would race to my puter almost restless
And turn on my ICQ in hopes to catch you there
And when your box was blue I was in ecstacy
But at times you werent there and I just could not bear
To live in this misery
I long to hear your voice ...your sexy voice on ICQ
It moves my heart and delights all my senses
Just sitting in front of my computer reading you
You knock out all my defenses
And I try picturing you inside my mind
the perfect man... sweet, handsome, curteous and kind

No!!!!! Young Man dont mix those two chemicals together!

Momma said I should have been a preacher.
What can be worse than this?
