Servo Control - Research, Design and working of a closed loop control system; study of servomotor characteristics; design and study of PI, PID-analog and PID-digital controller system. Discrete Fourier Transform - Sampling, windowing of signals using Discrete Fourier Transform and Fast Fourier Transform techniques. Study of - EMI, grounding, Phase Locked Loops, Sallen key filter design and single-phase transformers. Emergency Lighting Unit - Studying the charge and discharge time of an alkaline battery (used for emergency lighting in industry); measure conductivity and hence predict life of the battery service.
