Membership and Ranking
Members must strive (attempt, ok make a stab at it at least) to uphold the principles of ANGELS, which are to be
Articulate, Nice, Generous, Enterprising, Loyal and Sociable as much as possible. New members should also agree with these principles prior to joining. It is the responsibility of all members to seek out like-minded individuals and encourage them to join our guild.All members in good standing are entitled to full respect and consideration for any benefits or perks available to them, and can use the guild channel to ask for assistance in any way, or be sociable. The guild channel is not to be used for "spamming", begging, harassment or any language deemed lewd and offensive by the members. If you need to "speak as an adult" as it were, then please create a private channel and send it there.
Members who repeatedly violate the principles of ANGELS will be demoted to probationer, and restricted from posting in the guild channel until the issues can be resolved. If the issue cannot be resolved to the satisfaction of all parties, an officer may expel the probationer from the guild.
Examples of charter violations include, but are not limited to:
Ninja-looting: taking items from group without care or consideration
Excessive profanity in public channels: this includes 1) general and other public channels
Disloyalty: bad mouthing guild or members publicly, instead of resolving differences privately
Probationer
- A person on probation for violating the guild charterInitiate
- New member of the guild, who will revert to full member after serving a 2 week waiting period(alts of current members in good standing do not need to serve the 2 week wait).
An initiate has all the rights and privileges of a full member with the exception of referring new members to the guild. This does not prevent a current member from meeting other prospective members and endorsing them, in fact, it is encouraged.
Member
- Can use guild chat, request assistance from any officer or guild leader, or recommend new members to the guild. Members can also vote on any policy or charter changes as they come up.Recruiter
- A full member who has shown exceptional judgement in referring others to the guild and will be able to invite others into the guild.Founder
- This is a special rank for people who were part of the Angels at inception. They have all the rights of a Recruiter.Officer
- An officer can promote or demote members in the guild, offer assistance as able to members, help to settle disputes and act on behalf of the guild leader in his absence.*note* this does not mean that an officer has to drop everything or leave an instance or a quest to aid a member. The member must be sensitive to the fact that officers are players too, and they can only do so much.
Guild Leader
- The boss, the big kahuna, the grand fromage. I promise to aid and help all the Angels to the best of my ability as long as I'm online and not in the middle of healing a raid party. ~Cyanosis
