1. Make sure you have "num lock" on.
2. Hold down the Alt key and push the numbers for the character you want.
3. When you release the Alt key the character *should* pop up.
If it doesn't, make sure that the num lock is on and that you are holding the Alt key the entire time you are typing the numbers.
*Please remember that this will NOT work with the numbers at the top of the keyboard and you MUST use the little number pad thingy to the right of your keyboard.*
