| The Five Truths of Nakajima "Upon the sixth day, I, Shouzuki, returned after the fallout of my battle with the half-angel cleared, and I inscribed these five truths, to grant your people that I formed a true account of your Divine origins as a race, as well as an account of what transpired between the demons, devils, and Kiylan Meya and myself, as well as what his destiny became after he was chosen." I. The creator, known as God by the mortals of the world, formed the island of Nakajima, and commisioned one of his most powerful Angels, Shouzuki Tachibana, to visit the human warrior Kiylan Meya, of the nation of Arseil to the far northwest, and bless him withs God's divine essence, thereby making him akin to a half-angel. Shouzuki is also charged with informing Kiylan of his new purpose in life and then transport him to the newly formed island, where Kiylan is destined to remain, training in all form of physical and energy combat for all time. At first Kiylan embraces this, but in time it will become his curse. II. After forty years of training without pause, with constantly reforming enemies to face day by day and not aging at all in that time, Kiylan has long since grown tired of what he now views as an imprisonment on the island of Nakajima. There is one other thing that provokes his resentment of the island, Shouzuki, and even God itself; he has already mastered all forms the forms of combat he was made aware of, and it has already been fifteen years since he had any challenge from the beasts that spawn endlessly to slay him. III. He doesn't want to give up in his faith in God, or his own "divine purpose", and it is five years more that Kiylan trains without pause before he gives in to the last weakness he possesses as a half-human; Impatience. Having foreseen this from the start, God already had a plan for this occurance. It was then that God dissolved the barrier between the human world and Hell for but a moment, allowing only five demons of his choosing through before closing the gateway. Once the demons arrive, it draws the attention of their counterparts, devils, which are evolved demons with far greater power and intellect. The devils are not blinded by the ignorance their demons brothers are born with, and so they recognize the vastness of Kiylan's power, yet they also know their own limits, and so they are not afraid. IV. Upon arriving, the six devils see that the demons are already dead, and in fact it appears that he divine source of their oblivion has not even been harmed by any of them. It is then the devils attack Kiylan, one after the other, and in turn they fall, one after the other. All of them fail, cut down switfly at Kiylans hand, each unable to do more then minimal damage to the holy warrior before being slain. V. It is on the fifth day after Kiylan defeats the demons and devils, that Shouzuki reappears before him after what has been a lifetime for Kiylan, with nothing different about his glorious form either, save for the glowing, electrifed sword in his right hand that tells Kiylan he is here to fight him. Shouzuki opened his mouth to speak, and when he did his words were peaceful, yet filled with a powerful prescence. He spoke thus, "Fear not, half brother, for though you have abandoned your faith in us, we knew all along such a day would come, and in fact by choosing you to begin with this day was set in motion. Do not fear what is only moments away, all will soon be made clear." After he finished sharing his words of wisdom with his half-brother, Shouzuki rushed forward with his sword raised, ready to dissolve Kiylan with a mighty attack from the power of the creator. As he swung the blade, it appeared that a huge wave of light followed the blades arc. The light faded, and a few seconds later Kiylans body began to collapse in on itself, before eventually vanishing into a fine point. Just as he faded completely from sight, there was a massive explosion that forced even Shouzuki to flee its power, as he returned to the heavens instantly. Twelce orbs of light rise into the darkening sky and take their own place in the heavens, becoming the Twelve Stars of Combat Essence, which is what Kiylans accumulated power and knowledge was broken into. "Thus was the holy race created, the race that is now charged with the duty of protecting the weak and innocent. This race from the island of Nakajima will have an elite class known as the Diarngu, and as the defenders of those who cannot defend themselves, the Diarngu will bring balance to the future of this world, a future in enshrouded in darkness and under the control of evil. I am Shouzuki Tachibana, Messenger and Witness of the future. I brought an end to that which I began by destroying Kiylan Meya so that he would join us in his place in Heaven, and from that end comes a new beginning; the beginning of your race. I deliver this account of what transpired as if I were a third party, for that provides the truest version of what happened here." |
