| Cyan was drawn to Ciria because of her weakness and what she was; a fallen guardian angel. Knowing this, and based on her despair he assumed she would be very easy to corrupt. He was correct in this assumption, and reached into her mind and soul with his ethereal shadow tendrils so he could alter the memories of her life. He discovered the reason she was a fallen angel during this time; she fell in love with the mortal she was guardian of, and when he died from disease she tried to return life to him and was subsequently banished to the physical plane for her sacrilege. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity, Cyan replaced all the memories she had of the man she came to love with images and memories of himself. When he finished, he woke Ciria and started telling her that he was so relieved to have found her and that he had searched for so long since he suddenly returned to life because of her. In her mental state these lies were easy for her to accept, and they were being woven in her mind so she would eventually bear Cyan a child. However, she did not bear him one, but two children; twins, no less. Both Kishara and Vercasius are abominations, half angel, half darkness, and each differ slightly with their powers. He felt nothing for Ciria from the start, but she loved him unconditionally and did all she could to please him to no avail. Cyan only had plans for each of his children, but he was unable to enact them because of his ascension. |
