Our Excellent Adventure - Zambia/Botswana Safari 2004
Day 12 - Aug 7 - return to Tena Tena Camp

Safari start
previous - Fly Camping
next - return to Thorntree Lodge

After all that walking and living in tents for two nights, with lions very nearby, it was
comforting to get back to Tena Tena ... and allow Helen to clean up after her muddy slip

Me, Deb (the only professional guide who is not Zambian), Chris, Helen and Vaughan ... still laughing about the muddy experience

After fly camping, Helen enjoyed getting back to more modern conveniences

Yellowbilled stork

Bateleur eagle

Then there be lions! During our morning game drive, we came across these females sunning themselves on the road

Helen and "Dr Death", during the afternoon game drive. The Dr Death nick-name happened, as he had the uncanny ability of being where the kills were actually happening (needless to say how envious I was!). He had seen more than 17 kills in his 25 years of safaris (mainly here in Zambia with RPS).
