After our game drive in Chobe National Park,
we returned to Thorntree Lodge for the last time.
We enjoyed a long conversation with Stuart that night.
The next day, we slept in until around 07:00, before going
to Livingstone for curio shopping. We then returned to the
lodge for our luggage ... and last goodbyes ... before going
to the airport for Joburg.

An easy flight, arriving around 16:30 in Joburg on the 11th.
Chris and Vaughan's room wasn't ready so we huddled in our room.
Chris and Vaughen went on a city tour (Joburg and Soweto).
We wasted time in a shopping centre ... prices weren't as good
as home and nothing worthy of purchasing.

After lunch, we all went to he airport. Chris and Vaughan
off to Perth, Australia. We were heading to Frankfurt, Germany.

I was lucky to find out the front seats were available
(extra legroom). Eleven hours (06:00 on the 12th) later,
we were in Frankfurt. We were lucky to be able to check into
the hotel at this time. Back into town for a visit, after
a few hours sleep. Weather was a little cooler, but comfortable.

The next day (Aug 13th), off to Toronto. Again, I was lucky
to get a seat with no seat in front of me. Beside me was a
very friendly 6' 9" basketball player complaining about the legroom.

Everything was trouble-free on the trip, except gathering our
luggage in Pearson Terminal 1. We had to wait over an hour.
That is when we truly realized how well the trip was put
together for us by Misi Pearson of the Zambezi Safari and Travel Co, Robin Pope Safaris, and Thorntree Lodge.

We said farewell to Stuart and Thorntree Lodge

The curio shop in Livingstone where we bought a few things before heading to the airport

Livingstone airport ... quite busy for the flight to Joburg

Hotel Novatel in Frankfurt

A little more sightseeing, before heading to the airport for Toronto ... some progress has been made to the church (Dom St Batholomaus)

Fast (healthy) food ... we didn't see anything like this for the past 23 days

Delays at the Pearson Terminal 1 arrivals area ... the only delay in the whole trip!

A wide-angle of the Pearson Terminal 1 arrivals area

The end of a most excellent adventure!
