The day had finally arrived to begin the excellent adventure!

Helen was ready to go to the airport five hours ahead of departure! Helen does like to be early.
Pearson's Terminal 1 is quite empty at this time of the evening
The Air Canada flight from Toronto to Frankfurt went well and we arrived on schedule and
with our luggage. The flight was approx 7.5 hours. We left Toronto at 22:30 and arrived in Frankfurt
around 12:00 the next day. The economy airplane seats had very limited leg room and were very
uncomfortable for sleeping. We were anxious to get to our Hotel Am Dom room for a short sleep.
Approx 7 hours later, we were in the Frankfurt double layer subway system making our way
from the airport to our hotel.
