Special thanks goes out to Phil and Gayle Hayes and all the players / friends that made this night a success. All the feedback received was positive and it sounds as though everyone had a great night. To Paul and Trudy Notaras, Paul Forrest, Tony Libia, Rod Jones, Ian Fairlie, Tony Siroen and Frank Howard the giveaways they arranged were fantastic and really helped put the icing on the cake.

Winners : Kimbers, Brayden Reynolds, Keith Jack (Lake Grace and Telstra).

MOUSE RACING NIGHT

Form guide

Super Coach : Struggled with fitness this year but should bounce back to some sort of form in this mediocre event.

Waynoes Blind : Enjoying a purple patch at the moment and will be hard to beat. Star track worker at the bar on Thursday night and should bring that good form into this.

Bolting Benno ; Trainer has used a cigarette and alcohol diet to keep this rogue mouse in top form. Has been known to go missing at times.

Geriatric Jim : Loves mixing it with the younger mice but has to show some sort of form otherwise there may be Ratsak in the feed bin tonight.

Savage Scar : Doesn't mind the rough stuff ad will bowl over anything in his way, don't right him off.

Dirty Jones : Never a front runner, but holds a consistent pace. Is a crowd favourite ad is likely to be heavily supported by the professionals.

Dangerous Dave : Has retired but there is talk of a comeback. If he is to avoid his back being snapped in a trap, a strong performance is a must tonight.

Big Bustling Bill : Was a big winner in the Serving Piss and Talking Shit Handicap last start after blinkers ad a tongue tie were fitted to his gear

Dirk Diggler : Has a tendency to miss the kick and has found it difficult to get home in races. Has had pacifiers fitted for this race which may help.

Mrs. C : The only filly in the race, taking on the colts and geldings. Looks far to good on paper, her record is very good, being a group 1 performer.

Padre : This mouse switches o when he gets to the track. Will push the other runners out of the way with whatever force is required, but will bathe in holy water after the race.

Misako the Machine : This filly is a previous winner of The Japan Cup. Fired up after finding her white wine missing in the Christmas Handicap last start.

Libia : Form has been up and down this season. Looked an absolute disaster at Belmont last week ad this doesn't look any easier. Looks to be on the downhill slide. Racing in the yellow and black colours, I wouldn't back him with stolen money.

Rhino : Mouse with untapped ability who just never seems to get over the line. Was 2 lengths in front of the Large Breast Stakes, run at the Hip E Club but died o his run to finish. Scored well at Mandurah, but fails to impress in the Metropolitan area.

Flying Brent : Super quick mouse who has shown great ability this year. Has a bright future and will give them something to catch here.

Whirlwind Klim : This lumbering mouse is quite deceiving. Has been in top form and will probably settle at the rear of the field in this high speed contest. Is likely to be storming home and could get home over the top of them.

Pistol Pete : Likely to be late for running of this race, so holds no hope what so ever. Some chance to be on time for the cup, put a line through him can't win.

Captain Killer : Coming out of retirement for this race. This former coaches pet will be slowed down by his horrible black and white colours. Won't go quick enough to part the grey hair, no hope like his team.

Foot and a Half : This mouse had no ability to start with, so the fact he has lost half a foot has got to put him out of contention. That would be the case if he was facing mice with any ability what so ever. This field is weaker than Manangatang Maiden, so he could land the money with luck.

Jun the Pimp : Scored heavily about six months ago. Has been in good form at the bowling Club, but is likely to get the staggers up late in running. Will be hard to beat, only because there isn't much to beat.

Super Aussie : Has promised so much but delivered so little. Looked good at scoring at the Wipe It On The Curtains Handicap, but got rolled at the Lookout in consecutive races since. Hasn’t scored for a while but will look like getting home at some point in running but don’t hold your breath.

Sexy Sanz : Super fit mouse and is always in the money places high importance on looks and will be immaculately turned out for this high quality event. Could fold up under pressure, but will be in the running for a long way.

Look At Aids : Will dodge and weave his way through the field with uncanny ability. He is easy to pick out in running with his trademark Puma tights.

Drink Safe : This high quality mouse has been racing in elite company. Hard to stack up his form with the locals but will prove hard to beat. Was narrowly beaten in a photo finish by Pissed Trev in the Dianella tavern.

Mighty Mouse : The only filly in the feature race on the card. Country form is exceptionally strong going back to her big win in the Paddys Handicap at Kalgoorlie. Easily beat Troy in the Wheelbarrow Handicap last week, maybe a bit jaded from the hard hitout but will be flying home at the finish.

Shitface Shirts : Enjoying racing with the group 1 mice this season and has been performing consistently. Has been at the same stable at the Paddo with Savage Scar. His performance would improve if his diet consisted of less beer, but savage scar won't stand for that.

Shrek : This small rat has impressed since stepping up in class. Will run well if he stays on his feet. Always keeps the medicos on their toes and will be charging at them late.

Hooley Hussein : This mouse has returned after fathering a litter last season. His determined should see him in the placings, although he is occupied with secret flying lessons.

Small Man Syndrome : Doesn't mind having a crack at his opponents or coaches for that matter. Always good for a cheap shot or two, but his ability should keep him in the hunt even if he isn't going at full pace.

Go Youngy :Headstrong mouse who produces radically different form/ First up after a spell here and your guess is as good as mine.

Jean the Assasin : Another filly going around here. Don't be put off by her diminutive stature, she could put this high class field away I her stride if she is switched on. Plays to win ad if there is any chinks in the armour of the opposition, she will find them.

Vice Like Vic : Another flying filly going around here. Has the power to work into the finish of this race. Has a steely determination and will prove hard to beat.

The Philipator : Hard workig mouse who has taken the next step this year. Will be I the thick of this, he takes no prisoners and is a good bet.

The Craw : Back racing in the metropolitan area after some sensational performances in the country. Has been scoring consistently in Northbridge and is a winner at this track in the past. Has a magnificent grass cutting action and will be a big chance here.

Tony The Tank : Has shown outstanding form this season and looks like he will play a big part in the finish of this race. Always gives 100% and you can back him with the knowledge he is giving it his all.

Chainsaw Trev : Superstar mouse who has swept all before him. Was bowled over in the Wide Load hadicap at Kalgoorlie, but accouted for slurring Simon in Great Eastern Steeple the next day.

Hava Rennie : Preparation for this race was poor, having come from an engagement party with his boyfriend. Should run like hell with what must be a sore ass but is some doubt at seeing out the distance. Only back if you disrespect money.

Magical Matty : Won a maiden at Three Springs before having a crack in the metropolitan area. Has loads of ability and will give this race a big shake.

Twiggy : A sensational mouse who has been training the house down. Likely to be heavily supported and will give them something to catch in the last on the card.

The Good Wife Guide……classic! - This is an actual extract from a Home Economics textbook printed in the early 1960's. Absolutely unbelievable.

Men love it! - Women can't believe it!

The Good Wife Guide.

Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready on time for his return from work. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned about his needs.

Most men are hungry when they come home and the prospect of a good meal (especially his favorite dish) is part of the warm welcome needed.

Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you will be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh looking.

He has just been with a lot of work weary people. Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.

Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives. Gather up schoolbooks, toys, papers etc. and then run a dust cloth over the tables. During the colder months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by.

Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering for his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.

Minimise all noise. At the time if his arrival, eliminate all noise of washer, dryer or vacuum. Try to encourage the children to be quiet. Be happy to see him. Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.

Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first; remember his topics of conversation are more important than yours.

Make the evening his. Never complain if he comes home late or goes out to dinner or other places of entertainment without you. Instead, try to understand his world of strain and pressure and his very real need to be at home and relax.

Try to make sure your home is a place of peace, order and tranquility where your husband can renew his body and spirit.

Don't greet him with complaints and problems. Don't complain if he is late home for dinner, or even stays out all night. Count this as a minor compared to what he might have gone through that day.

Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or have him lie down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him. Arrange the pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice. Don't ask him questions about his actions or question his judgement or integrity. Remember he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness.

Once he has had a chance to have his evening meal, clear the dishes and wash up promptly. If your husband should offer to help, decline his offer as he may feel obliged to repeat this offer and after a long working day he does not need the extra work.

Encourage your husband to pursue his hobbies and interests and be supportive without seeming to encroach. If you have any hobbies yourself, try not to bore him speaking of these, as woman's interests are often rather trivial compared to men's.

At the end of the evening, tidy the home ready for the morning and again thing ahead to his breakfast needs. Your husband's breakfast is vital if he is to face the outside world in a positive fashion.

Once you have both retired to the bedroom, prepare yourself for bed as promptly as possible. Whilst feminine hygiene is of the utmost importance, your tired husband does not want to queue for the bathroom, as he would have to do for his train. But remember to look your best when going to bed.

Try to achieve a look that is welcoming with out being obvious. I f you need to apply face-cream or hair-rollers wait util he is asleep as this can be shocking to a man last thing at night.

When it comes to the possibility of intimate relations with your husband, it is important to remember your marriage vows and in particular your commitment to obey him. If he feels that he needs to sleep immediately then so be it. In all things be led by your husband's wishes, do not pressure him in anyway to stimulate intimacy. Should your husband suggest congress, then accede humbly all the while being mindful that a man's satisfaction is more important than a woman's.

When he reaches his moment of fulfillment, a small moan from yourself is encouraging to him and quite sufficient to indicate any enjoyment that you have had. Should your husband suggest any of the more unusual practices, be obedient and uncomplaining but register any reluctance be remaining silent.

It is likely that your husband will then fall promptly asleep, so adjust your clothing, freshen up and apply your night time face mask and hair care products.

You can then set the alarm so that you can arise shortly before him in the morning. This will enable you to have his morning cup of tea ready when he awakes.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

It is with great pleasure we advise that the merger of two great football traditions, Coolbinia Yokine Amateur Football Club and Osborne Districts Amateur Football Club has been accomplished.

My new committee is determined to combine the traditions of both clubs to become successful and a feared competitor in the Amateur League. Our main objective this year is to establish the club and provide the support network to ensure that we are successful on and off the field.

Success and good times are achieved by mainly hard work and we feel confident that as a committee we have people in place to reach our goals and provide the support for the players to achieve success. Over recent years the quality and loyalty of the people at both clubs has been unquestionable however we could not reflect this on the scoreboard. With the merger of the two clubs we have no doubts that the club has been strengthened and we are taking steps in the right direction for the future.

Financially the club is secure and over the year you will see improvements / incentives around the club that will be beneficial to the players and, just as importantly, to the supporters.

Shaun Byron has been selected as the "inaugural" club coach with Richard Naulls and Chris Bartle as C Reserve and E Grade coaches.

This year will be challenging and success will be achieved with your involvement and commitment in supporting the club. Good times are just ahead.
