Matt Johnson is my favorite hockey player, not only because he has the same name I do, but because this guy plays hockey the way it's meant to be played, tough, aggressive, and hard-hitting. Basically, he's a big goon who beats the hell out of people. He also knocked the beejesus out of the Rangers Jeff Beukeboom for messing with Ian Laperriere. Of course the wusses down at N.H.L. central suspended Johnson, but I think he got his message across; don't mess with a teammate of Matt Johnson. He got fined and suspended last season for taking his hockey stick and knocking the hell out of his opponent so don't piss the Innovator of Violence off.  After Johnson scored his first goal last season, Wade Belak of the Avalanche challenged the Johnson to a fight. It's never a good idea to piss off a person with a name as manly as Matt Johnson and this time proved to be no exception. The only reason that Belak isn't slurping his lunch through a straw at this moment is because of the timely intervention of about 45 referees, the national guard, the marines and a heart-felt plea from Belak's wife and kids. Johnson is always a good bet to win the only category that I think is worth winning: most penalty minutes. Johnson got selected by the Atlanta Thrashers for the 1999 season, but they were appalled by his overwhelming manliness and the fact that he has the most kick-ass name ever and traded him to the Minnesota Wild.

Phillips tries to escape the crushing manliness that only somone named Matt Johnson can posses.
