Memorial Day 2005

Memorial Day at the Veterans Garden, North Myrtle Beach, is a
solemn and moving service honoring our veterans through the decades.
It was attended by over a thousand veterans and individuals wishing
to show their respect and appreciation to the many who gave so much.
Here are a few photos that I took during the half hour ceremony.
If you happen to be at Willow Creek next May, why don't you join
us in paying respect to the men and women who have made our
country the great nation that we enjoy and live in today.

The Knights of Columbia

The Knights of Columbus are
always well represented at the
Veterans Memorial Garden.

A highly decorated Naval veteran that
Jan & I have seen at every Memorial Day Ceremony we have attended.

Scottish Honor Guard

The Scottish Honor Guard did an
outstanding job of displaying the
Stars & Stripes.
The Drum & Bag Pipe Corps,
composed of old and young men,
were very impressive.

Two Organizers of the Event
Military Service Emblems
Two veterans who helped organize
and present the program.  All
volunteers did a superb job.
The Veterans Garden Wall, with
Service Emblems displayed, recognizing
all five of our military services.
