o An active member and the initiator of the “Biotechnology Active Group”, of Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture (PGIA) shearing equal responsibilities and giving all kinds of "BT Solutions" for Biotechnological problems.
o Giving strength for all the relate functions as the vice president of Postgraduate Agricultural Students’ Association (PASA).
o Organized and led fund raising project named “Ranasarana” to give material aids for the war heroes in action in North-East “Rivirasa” operation-1995 (Rs. 145000.00)
o Conducted the “Plant Transformation Technology” exhibition stall in the Diamond Exhibition of Science and Technology (DEST-2002) at Department of Botany, University of Colombo.
