First Generation

Seek parents of Barbara CARMAN who married circa 1780 probably in York Co., PA to Godfrey STULL (Gotttfied Stoll.) Barbara was reportedly bound out as a servant at age sixteen to a family in York Co. for a period of five years. Godfrey and Barbara were in Middletown, Frederick Co., VA from 1781 to 1786 where five of their children were baptized. They then moved to Fayette and Washington Cos., PA before taking up residence in Monongalia Co., VA by 1800. Barbara married (2) 30 Mar 1824 Monongalia Co., VA to Thomas Knight. She died during the 1840s and is buried at Palatine Hollow, Monongalia Co., VA. (See STULL family)

Was she the daughter of John and Juliana KARMENIE? Their daughter =Mary Barbara= was born 18 Aug 1769 and baptized at Hill Church, Evangelical Lutheran, Lancaster Co., PA? Their other children were Catherine Elizabeth, Rebecca, John, Anna Christina, Antonius, John George, George Adam, John Philip and John David all baptized between 1763 and 1782.
