THE QUAKER BEALS FAMILY
(1) John BEALS II born 20 1m 1685/6 Aston, Chester Co., PA (recorded at Chester MM, Chester Co., PA.) He married 14 8th month 1711 at Chester Meeting House to Sarah BOWATER (1689-1777), the daughter of Thomas Bowater and Sarah Edge. They moved to Opeckan, Frederick Co., VA by 1744 where John bought 165 acres on Mills Creek from John Mills Jr. This land is now in Berkeley Co., VA. He was survived by his widow who married next in 1745 to Alexander Underwood at Monocacy Meeting and died 26 Dec 1777 Wellsville, York Co., PA. Their children included: Sarah Beals Mills, John Beals III, Thomas Beals, Mary Beals Hunt, Phebe Beals Canaday Sumner, Prudence Beals Williams and Bowater Beals.
(2) William BEALS born 1 2nd month 1687 Chester Co., PA. He married 26 4th month 1712 at Nottingham Meeting House under the auspices of Concord MM to Rebecca CHAMBERS, the daughter of John Chambers of Chichester, Chester Co., PA. Their children included Lydia Beals, Mary Beals, and Ruth Beals Underwood.
(3) Jacob BEALS was born 28 7th month 1689 in Chester Co., PA. He married 20 4th month 1714 at Nottingham Meeting House to Mary BROOKS(BY), the daughter of John Brooks(by). Their children were John Beals, Jacob Beals Jr., Mary Beals, William Beals, Caleb Beals, Rachel Beals Smith and Daniel Beals.
(4) Mary BEALS was born 24 1st month 1692 under the care of Chester Monthly Meeting, Chester Co., PA. She was married 1 4th month 1710 to Richard HARROLD according to the Concord Monthly Meeting records. She and Richard Harrold were both from Nottingham Meeting at the time of their marriage. Their children are listed under HARROLD.
(5) Patience BEALS was born 16 4th month 1695 as reflected by the Chester Monthly Meeting records. She married at New Garden 20 4th month 1717 to Joseph JONES, son of John Jones of Worstershire, England. Their known children were Judith, Mary, Sarah and Charity Jones.
