History:
Earlier Career
Draven came into the cwf.pro as a rookie aswell as the rest. he was a fan of the Moore Brothers wrestling figure site.
CWF-Pro
Coming into the CWF as one of the original 13 members, Draven was nothing
but a green rookie. Starting out, the CWF held battle royals for its initial
6 titles. Draven was a part of the Crown battle royal, but alas was
eliminated by a wrestler named Wasp. All was quiet for Draven for the first
few weeks. Trying to get a good start, Burns brought in his sister, Sarah,
as his manager. Not much happened with her as Draven continued to struggle
in his matches. Eventually, he saw a good feud build with TTB and Rico Suave
for the Royal title in a couple of matches, but had always come up short
with victory. Draven was coming into his own with some successful matches to
grant him a title shot at the Crown champion, Hammerman. In his first title
victory, Draven took the crown at a Tuesday Night Fight event. Eventually
losing the crown to an old enemy in Wasp, Draven fell back down the small
ladder he had built himself up with.
Starting out in the CWF-Pro
Seeing nothing more than filler matches and no real feuds after that, Draven
and Burns talked over a new strategy for his character. It was then that
¡§The Crow¡¨ Draven was born and Sarah was left behind. In what could only
have been good timing for him, the World title, IC title, and the Royal
titles were stripped from their respective champions in the first big
¡§shakeup¡¨ of the CWF-Pro. Burns had immediately declared a battle royal to
be held at the next TNF to determine new holders. In a single grouped match,
the winning order was to be the 3rd man to survive wins the Royal title, 2nd
the IC title, and last to win the Worlds championship. Seizing opportunity,
Draven survived to be the 3rd last before being eliminated, and therefore
the new Royal champion.
TTB vs Draven
At that time, many people came calling for his new title. Amongst them, a
returning feud with TTB was sparked. While the Royal champion, the first
ever ¡§title for title¡¨ match was announced as Draven challenged Ticking
Time Bomb for his Intercontinental title. In what was one of the best
hardcore classic matches of the CWF-Pro, Draven came away with the victory
and the first man to hold 2 titles at once. With great camaraderie, Draven
and Ticking Time Bomb became good friends and eventually tag team partners.
Seeing that the Insyders had turned on each other for the time being, Draven
and TTB took the opportunity to challenge them for their tag gold. In one of
the quickest title matches ever, The Insyders lost their gold to Draven and
TTB when Scott Nash attacked Kevin Hall, laying him out to be pinned by TTB.
Midcarding
Draven had come a long way in his first year in the CWF-Pro. Holding the
record for being the first man to have held 2 and then 3 titles at once,
nothing seemingly could have stopped him. But Pres Burns didn¡¦t see it that
way. With 3 of his titles around 1 mans waist, Burns quickly laid out
matches for Draven. First up was his newly won Tag titles. With the Insyders
quickly back together, Scott Nash and Kevin Hall easily defeated the rookie
tag champions Draven and TTB in an even quicker match than when they had
lost it previously. This started a small feud between Draven and the
Insyders. Scott Nash had the shot at Dravens' IC title while Kevin Hall had
the shot at Dravens' Royal title the very next match. With TTB on the
injured list, Draven had to worry about being alone. In his first match with
Scott Nash, Draven had pulled out a victory after the referee caught Kevin
Hall interfering. In a brutal beating after the bell, Nash and Hall
decimated Draven until the bell again rang for the next match, Draven versus
Hall, Royal championship. With little to no effort, Hall pinned Draven and
became the newly crowned Royal champion.
A new road
With TTB gone, Draven had no chance of seeing revenge on the Insyders any
time soon. He set his sights on his IC title, only to eventually lose it to
Celtic Chaos. Draven was at the bottom of the list again. In the weeks that
passed afterwards, Draven began to fight in more hardcore matches than he
was accustomed to. For this, Draven began to take on new opponents and match
types. Eventually this led to his biggest match of that time. The first ever
World Series of Wrestling PPV was to be held and Draven had a spot reserved
against the then current IC champion, PJ Brown. In a grueling ¡§Barbwire
Pit¡¨ match, Draven came out the victor and again was crowned IC champion.
Trying new things
With less than a week passed from the PPV, Draven was challenged by TTB for
his title in an ¡§Empty Pool¡¨ match for the next PPV. The two new hardcore
themed wrestlers gave their all in their interviews, but everything would
come down to who was more extreme in the fight. In retribution for his loss
of the IC title last time, TTB defeated Draven. At the next TNF it was by
chance that the Pres¡¦ original contender for the Worlds championship was
unavailable, and Draven was called up. In the 1 great battle these two ever
fought against each other, Beastman and Draven were destined to pull out
everything in the first ever ¡¨Bone Breaks Match¡¨. No pins. No Submissions.
No DQ. You had to break a limb to win the match. With the little confidence
he had, Draven fought the legendary Beastman all out. Taking 4 Beastdrops
from the top and giving 2 Side Shot Superkicks, the match was eventually won
with a toe leg hold and Beastmans leg breaking. A dream realized, Draven was
now one of the few wrestlers in CWF-Pro history to have held every title
that the federation offered for the time being.
CWF-Pro Title Run
Draven was suddenly catapulted into the limelight. He was nervous and
thought he was to contend with the legends of efeding, but Burns had other
plans. Instead of fighting legends, Burns brought up some of the mid carders
Draven had been feuding with to establish them as contenders with high
caliber 4 star matches. With the likes of TTB, Hammerman, and others, Draven
fought his hardest to establish himself as a worthy champion. It wasn¡¦t
until the Insyders came calling again that Dravens¡¦ difficulties began.
With Nash and Hall fighting him 2 on 1, Draven needed to call in his old tag
team partner for help. TTB and Draven reformed, but were still no match for
the Insyders. And while they had their worries set on tag team warfare,
Burns gave Jackson a title shot against Draven. In what could only be
explained as a blowout, the legend against the rookie was too much. With 1
missed Side Shot Superkick, Jackson easily gave the champion the Cutter and
the loss of his Worlds title.
The Corporation Sell Out
With nothing left to give and the constant beatings from the Insyders,
Draven left the CWF-Pro for a time. Weeks went by with no word from him
until Jackson had won his second worlds title. As Pres Burns came down the
ring one night, Draven re-debuted in his old attire as ¡§Corporate¡¨ Draven,
siding with Burns and an elite team. Easily set up, Jackson had to defend
against Draven for the Worlds title at the next PPV. At a disadvantaged
match up, Burns helped Draven win the title for a 2nd time. The themed
Corporation soon took over. The Tag titles, World title, and Royal title
belonged to Pres Burns¡¦ stables. Things were going well until Draven
finally had IT! His first ever match against The Icon, Miguel Sanchez. In a
hyped up match that was sure to be a new classic, the biggest shocker
happened. Pres Burns cost Draven the match and sided with his rival brother,
Miguel Sanchez! With the words Burns spewed out about Miguel being his real
family, Draven was left broken. The title stripped, Draven stepped down from
the heavyweight spot for the last time.
the Factor
Burns now had total power. With no one to challenge him and his new Elite
team, Draven was at the mercy of the CWF-Pro. It wasn¡¦t until a small
miracle happened that an old rival came to his aid and formed a group with
him. The FACTOR. Beastman, Hammerman, Draven, Ashley, and the new rookie,
Blade. All were seeing red and all were out to get Burns and finally destroy
his empire. For weeks it was interference from both groups on their teams
behalf. The FACTOR finally put it on the line. 1 match. All members. Loser
leaves. Begrudgingly accepting, Burns set it up for the next PPV. In a
classic long match up, the 5 members of the FACTOR fought the 5 members of
Burns Elite Team. Seeing members from both teams knocked off 1 by 1, The
FACTOR was beat by interference from Burns in the end. Broken up and tossed
out of the CWF-Pro, Draven had little steam left in him. He became more of
a leader in the locker rooms for the younger guys. Designing logos and
shirts, he even tried to take over the magazine, which unfortunately he
couldn¡¦t do.
Cheating Death
With little time passed, Draven was becoming burnt out of the efeding world.
In probably the biggest controversy in the CWF-Pros¡¦ history, Draven went
to Burns to make a retirement match and end his career with the CWF-Pro out
of loyalty. In Dravens¡¦ eyes, he saw that Miguel Sanchez should have been
the one to end it, but Burns gave the match to Capt. Sexy at a TNF. In a 1
time aired match, Draven was killed by being super kicked off of the top of
a cage. With furious responses from both fans and employees of the CWF-Pro
and the efed world, the Draven family and the Burns family spouted the blame
of it at each other for years. Until recently both families have finally
made amends to this situation.
Draven forever
Alot of heat the cwf.pro and Draven got for faking his death. Alex Draven (his brother) would come in 2 years after the mock and tryed to fight his way to Pres Burns. This was a short feud. Smokin Joe was the main leader to this fight that he was sick that Draven went this way to kill off his image. Nevertheless, Draven was in the hall of fame
TDW
After 4 months of being "Death" Draven came to the TDW and last a year. Pres Burns was upset that after killing off your image or wrestler you would go to another efed and play the same iamge again. They got into a lawsuit which ended up falling down. In 2006, Draven and Pres Burns talked things out and Draven would return here and there to help out events for the cwf.pro. He still is on the roster as some times making an appearance.
