** Appearance Info **

[1] Describe your wrestler's physical appearance (i.e., race, hair color, scars, facial hair, physical built, etc.): Koora is of Australian Aboriginal ancestry. He has dark brown skin and short, curly black hair, but no facial hair. On his left arm is a long scar from a knife wound he received in a streetfight. He has a few other small scars on his arms, hands, and face from various other streetfights. Koora is above average in height and has a very muscular build akin to that of a professional powerlifter.

[2] Describe your wrestler's ring attire: Koora wears black t-shirts bearing designs of the heavy metal band Napalm Death or t-shirts with images of the Incredible Hulk on them. Green and brown camouflage pants, black combat boots or brown work boots. He also wears a green and brown camouflage jacket with the sleeves ripped off.

[3] Does your wrestler wear or carry anything that he leaves at ringside when wrestling? Will sometimes carry his trademark weapons with him to the ring, even during regular matches that aren't specifically hardcore, and will attempt to use them if the fight goes outside of the ring.

[4] Write out your wrestler's entrance to the ring as it would appear before a match: The song Dogma by Napalm Death starts playing over the sound system as the lights start flashing at the entrance ramp. Koora holds up a “Slow Funeral” sign as he’s on the entrance ramp and points to it. As he walk down to the ring he taunts, insults, and yells at the fans who are standing behind the guard rails and giving him heel heat. Sometimes he’ll single out one person in particular and talk junk back and forth to them. He’ll also talk trash into the television camera about how violent he is and how he’s going to kill his opponent and add him to the “Korpse Kount”. Koora will also flex his arm in front of the television camera and brag about how strong he is.

** In-Depth Info **

[1] What makes this character unique? Koora is, for the most part, the “average Joe”. One of the things that make him stand out is his very gruff and intimidating exterior which can easily hide his humorous and outgoing nature.

[2] Wrestler's attitude/personality: Koora is usually talkative and likes to joke around. Although he has an intimidating outward appearance and can be exceptionally brutal in formal competition or when defending himself he’s not one to start fights with others. When provoked he can snap, become very violent, and he’ll get into a fight just about anywhere. Has a tendency to get lazy and become a slacker. He’s very confident, sometimes to the point of blatant arrogance, and he sees his opponents as beneath when it comes to strength, toughness, and fighting ability. He’s always willing to prove how strong he is to both his opponent and the fans.

[3] How many years of professional wrestling experience does your wrestler have? (Pro/non pro?) Koora is making his pro wrestling debut in the CWF.

[4] Strength and weaknesses. Please include a balance of strengths and weaknesses.

Strengths: Koora is very powerful and has explosive strength. Most of his wrestling moves are considered to be “basic” techniques but they can still badly injure or knock an opponent unconscious. He has better overall athletic conditioning and stamina than most wrestlers with his size and strength. He’s also very tough and can take a lot of damage, especially damage to the head. Koora is an exceptionally good brawler due to his many years of streetfighting before training to become a pro wrestler.

Weakness: Koora has a bad temper that can cause him to make mistakes in the ring. He can be overly confident and underestimate his opponent if he thinks they’re a lot weaker than he is. He will also get annoyed and talk trash to the audience and the referee.

[4] Summary of experience/history. Please be descriptive. This is important:

Koora Uluru was born in the town of Indulkana on the South Australian Aboriginal reservation of Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY). He’s the oldest child and has two other siblings; a brother and sister. Life usually isn’t easy for the families who live in the APY Lands. The reservation is a low income community and most of the people living there are either part of the working class or in poverty. Koora’s family wasn’t one of those who suffered from poverty but life wasn’t easy, regardless. Both of his parents worked to make ends meet for the family while he and his younger siblings attended the public school there. For most his life, Koora was the biggest kid amongst those in his age group, and among a lot of those older than him, and he had a temper to go with his size. Although he was never a bully there were those who would try to test him, and he’d get into fights from time to time with other kids and teenagers. He won most of his fights as a kid, and as a teenager it reached the point where he stopped losing any. He became friends with a few of them in the end, and developed long lasting rivalries with others.

After graduating from school he worked like his parents and earned income for the household and for his own use. His brother and sister would go on to do the same thing. His parents had been constantly saving the money that they could afford to save for years with hopes of leaving APY and moving to the city of Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia, for better opportunities. Eventually they were able to go there after Koora’s father was able to secure employment in the city and find affordable housing. Being born in a very rural area and then moving to a large city took a good amount of adjustment for the family, but after few months they were settled fairly well. Koora continued to work as he normally did while he was back in the APY Lands.

While he was in Adelaide he became acquainted with people who were involved in gang activity and drug usage and selling. Although he never officially joined a gang he started using and selling recreational drugs and drinking alcohol. It was far easier to get here than it was where he used to live. He also got involved in fighting for money. Fights would get set up in somewhat remote locations of the city and bets would be placed. Koora won many of these contests in a row against a variety of different opponents, making a lot of money for himself in the process. But, in addition to making extra money he also made enemies.

5 guys, led by someone who badly lost a fight to Koora, plotted to jump him on the streets one night as he was walking home. He was distracted by the guy he defeated in the brawl and a couple of his friends while someone else was approaching him from behind with a knife. Seeing him at the last second as he was trying to cut him, Koora was able to move just enough so the knife didn’t stab into his back. It badly gashed his arm open. When this happened he swung around as hard as he could and hit his attacker in the face with a spinning backfist, knocking him out instantly and dropping him to the sidewalk. In a blind rage Koora stomped on his head and kicked him in the face several times before he was then attacked by the others. He took several shots but he was able to fight them by himself, injuring one of them by knocking him to the ground and bloodying his face. The extremely loud shouting and brawling caused someone in a house across the street to call the police. When the police showed up a couple of minutes later the fight was still going on but it was basically over because his attackers were reluctant to keep fighting someone they couldn’t hurt. The one who had the knife and cut Koora and then got stomped died from severe injuries to the head due to the impact on the concrete. A couple of them ran away but were later arrested.

Although what he did was in self-defense of his own life, he still had to go to jail, and since his parents couldn’t afford to bail him out he remained there until the trial. The charges for what could have been manslaughter were dropped. Despite the fact that the potential charges were dropped he still wound up losing his job and his life started to take a turn for the worse and he chose to distance himself from his family, opting to spend most of his time around his friends. His brother and sister started attending college, but he basically drifted around like a homeless person with the street people he knew, staying at their houses and only occasionally coming back to his parent’s house. Despite their concern for him he always felt as if what he started doing with his life was shameful. Koora still fought in bouts on the street making money so he never did try to find real employment.

In late 2008 he heard about Cyrus Sadat, a prestigious Iranian wrestling veteran, who was traveling to several major cities around the world looking for students he could train and bring into the sport of professional wrestling. He was going to be in Sydney in a couple of months. Koora thought about the possibilities and made plans to be in Sydney to see if he could get accepted, since Sadat was willing to train anyone as long as they demonstrated they had determination and willpower, which is the main thing he was looking for in a student. After a long train ride he arrived in Sydney. The tryouts were very brutal, and many of the people there who were athletic and experienced in combat either gave up or collapsed during the harsh drills and sparring sessions with Sadat's students from Iran or with Sadat himself. But Koora was desperate for something to change in his life and he wasn’t going to leave. He even reached the breaking point during the training and went on a long tirade about threatening to beat up Cyrus’s students and the last few remaining guys who were still left. Cyrus wasn’t alarmed, but he was actually rather impressed by what he saw from Koora. He told everyone to settle down and that the tryouts were over and he’d be calling the person he had chosen later on that day. Later that evening, Cyrus called Koora’s cell phone as he was out sleeping on the streets of Sydney waiting for the train to come back through so he could go back to Adelaide the next day.

In a couple of months Koora found himself in Shiraz, Iran at Sadat's newly built private gym and townhouse along with five other would-be wrestlers. After 12 months of world class conditioning, training in grappling and striking techniques, special dieting, and studying hundreds of pro wrestling matches...Koora Uluru is ready to step into the ring.

[1] What are the names of your wrestler's finishers? Aboriginal Lariat, Outback DDT, Dreamtime

[2] Descriptions of the finishers: The Aboriginal Lariat is an extremely high impact lariat into their face or the back of their head. The Outback DDT is a jumping spike DDT. The Dreamtime is either a guillotine choke hold or a sleeper hold.

[3] What are the situations in which your wrestler could perform the moves? The Aboriginal Lariat can be performed by explosively running towards the opponent from a standstill position or a 3-point stance, hitting them as they’re rebounding off of the ropes, as they’re leaning against the turnbuckle, as a “Cactus clothesline” that sends both Koora and his opponent out of the ring, when holding onto the opponent with one hand and then smashing them with his opposite arm, or when he’s jumping off of the top rope with very high elevation, hitting either the front or the back of the opponent’s head. The Outback DDT is be performed when Koora lifts the opponent up as if he’s going to suplex them, but when he has them in the air at a 45 degree angle he jumps up so that his body is parallel to the mat and he drives them head first into the canvas. The Dreamtime is performed when he places a hand on the opponent’s shoulder as they’re slumped forward towards him, reaches under their neck with the other hand and grabs onto the wrist of the hand that is on their shoulder, locks their head under his armpit, and squeezes their throat against his forearm while lifting up. He can also fall back into a scissors hold and take them down to the canvas. The Dreamtime is also performed as a sleeper hold when he’s standing behind the opponent. One arm is placed around the front of their neck so the forearm is resting on it, the other arm is extended over their shoulder, the bicep of the arm resting on their shoulder is grabbed and used to press into their throat, and then that arm is used to press against the back of their head putting their neck in a scissors-like grip.

[4] How can it be countered? The Aboriginal Lariat can be countered if the opponent ducks the clothesline or they reverse the blow into a grappling maneuver. The Outback DDT can be countered by the opponent hitting Koora before he’s able to lift them up in a suplex fashion or using any other suplex countering technique. The Dreamtime can be countered if they twist their head out of the hold before it’s locked on or they hit him and stun him before he gets the hold locked on.
