** Appearance Info **

Johnny Matthews

[1] Describe your wrestler's physical appearance(i.e., race, hair color,
scars, facial hair, physical built, etc.):
Hank 3 pic base
Matthews is two-hundred thirty-five pounds of toned muscle on a six-foot frame. Not ripped or bulky by any means. Heavily tattooed. He has a shaved head, but not bald; he has emerald green eyes, a scar on his lower lip and sometimes, a late five-o-clock shadow. Handsome, depends on your taste, he doesn't care or try to be.

[2] Describe your wrestler's ring attire:
Much like the old Cash song, Matthews humanity combined with his apparel, merited him the dubbing “Pro-Wrestling’s Man in Black”. He wears black leather jackets or vests over a variety of black, custom and official T-shirts; leather belt holds up boot-cut, relaxed Timberland jeans over black Harley-Davidson Badlands. Normally, he wears an Aussie-style leather fedora with the left brim rolled tighter than the right. Dark-tinted sunglasses shade his emerald greens most of the time, even inside the arena. His wrists are wrapped in black wrist tape most of the time to cover scarring.

Until he flicks it at his opponent, the referee, the commentators or into the front row, Matthews has a Marlboro Red perched in his kisser at all times. Backstage and in the arena, he flips ashes about from the cigarette as he curses and rambles. Outside live events, even at promotional appearances, he lights up and enjoys hand-rolled Insignia tobacco blended with Tennessee-grown Hogsbreath.

He will not work for a promotion that prohibits smoking, drinking and cursing during live events.

[3] Does your wrestler wear or carry anything that he leaves at ringside when wrestling?
Justice
Leather jacket/vest, leather Aussie-style fedora, sunglasses

[4] Write out your wrestler's entrance to the ring as it would appear before a match:
Will add soon, theme is "Burn" by Moonshine Bandits ( ft. Big B )

** In-Depth Info **

[1] What makes this character unique?
While he chooses to blaze his own “helluva ride” and won't discuss it much, it is important to know that Matthews is a third-generation wrestler. He is the grandson of Lonestar Championship Wrestling (1952-1987) promoter, Holden J. Matthews, and son of InterAction Wrestling Federation (1987-2003) promoter, J. Remington Matthews.

However, what a name he has made for himself, debuting in 2005 for Cyber Wrestling Revolution, he quickly found himself globetrotting and just as quickly found himself in a gutter. It has taken several years to shake the stink of being labeled a flake and rebuilding his name. Most of the rebuild and proving himself done in South Carolina with Pure Class Wrestling.

In Sinister, his satin-black ‘58 Ford, Matthews drifts the highways, working shows state to state. He works primarily in the southwest territory of Championship Wrestling Coalition, but will travel most of North America for special appearances.

[2] Wrestler's attitude/personality:
Matthews is crude in the ring and on the microphone, boasting a full-throttle, all up in your face approach. “Vulgar” and “rude” barely scratch the surface of what fans will hear while “shock” and “awe” only begin to describe what fans should expect to see.

Fans and critics have praised and shamed Matthews, sometimes in the same night and sometimes, even in the same match. His ability to create chaotic situations and then talk himself out of spinning events out of control has dubbed him the Chemistry of Charisma and Controversy. He somehow keeps a steady balance of those that love to hear his music hit and those that despise even hearing his name.

He pushes his over-the-top antics as well as his bright and loud theatrics to draw fans from their couches into the arena and to their feet.

He will not work for a promotion that prohibits smoking, drinking and cursing during live events.

Johnny Matthews has been trained to wrestle since birth by his father, the late Joseph Remington Matthews. As the renowned promoter of the InterAction Wrestling Federation, JR Matthews spared no expense preparing his son for the squared circle.

Following his father's death, in 2003, Matthews explored the wrestling world, training and wrestling in Mexico, Canada, Brazil, England, Germany and Japan.

Globetrotting helped him build on his traditional ‘big time’ training, mixing brawling, technical, lucha and strong-style elements into his repertoire. He can easily adapt, using unpredictable strikes and maneuvers to offset and easily keep pace with most opponents.

He has added, what he calls, an unkind sting to his balanced moveset, either setting up or finishing a power move with one of his infamous “crowd pleasers”, a weapon or a dirty tactic just because.
