HAYLEY CARTER!

[ "Misery Business" begins to blast throughout the arena causing the
fans to cheer loudly. The curtain at the top of the ramp is flung aside
and Hayley stands at the top of the ramp. She smiles out at the crowd
bouncing on the balls of her feet like a coiled spring. Once the corus
of the song hits, Hayley sprints down the ramp slapping some
outstretched hands as she makes her way to the ring. Once reaching the
ring, she vaults to the top rope before sommersaulting inside. Rising to
her feet, Carter goes to her corner beginning to stretch in preparation
for the match to come.]

Wrestler Attitude: Hayley is a fun loving person. She thrives on
competition and the chance to test herself against the best women in the
world. She despises divas or anyone who uses their looks to try and get
ahead. She loves to fight and isn't afraid to go hardcore if necessary.
She is a ball of energy constantly wanting to be active and hates
downtime. She says what she thinks and doesn't always think before she
acts. Her mouth has gotten her into trouble on numerous ocasions. Her
detractors say she is lacking tact. She shoots from the hip and would
never dream of sugarcoating anything. Many have called her a tomboy.
This is a name she embraces because the prissy lifestyle is not for her.

Experience: 3 Years in the indies and a year in Japan. This is her first
shot in a major organization.

Strengths: Hayley has a never say quit attitude. Many say she has a true
warrior's heart. Her mixture of acrobatics and martial arts allows her
to attack in many different ways. She is comfortable grappling and
taking the battle to the air.

Weaknesses: Hayley's willingness to be a daredevil has its drawbacks.
She oftin does more harm than good with her risk taking moves which
gives her opponents ample opportunities to get back in the fight. She
throws caution to the wind and doesn't work on gameplans. She prevers a
"Let it all hang out" attitude to her matches.

History:

Hayley's first memory of wrestling was at age 4. She saw a pretty woman
accompanying one of the wrestlers to the ring. There were women in the
corner of both men. She asked her parents why the women didn't wrestle?
They told her wrestling wasn't a sport for women. She was furious by
this answer and even more angry when the women engaged in a cat fight.
She even yelled at the TV for the ladies to "Punch each other already!"

Even though the thought of women slapping each other annoyed her, little
Hayley continued to watch the sport. She loved the athletic battles and
death defying moves. When she was 10, her brother Dez showed her a tape
of Joshi from Japan. She was instantly hooked. Here were the women she
wanted to see. Women who brutalized each other. They wrestled just like
the men and she loved it. She told her brother she wanted to be a Joshi
wrestler in Japan. Her parents were dismayed by this and hoped she would
grow out of it.

Hayley started taking Judo in order to prepare for her goal of wrestling
in Japan. She excelled at the sport and won many tournaments. When she
turned 18, she began to look for wrestling schools in Pittsburgh. She
ended up at the EPW training school where she met Kenzo Tagara. Tagara
was a very popular wrestler from Japan. He had injured his knee forcing
his retirement from active competition. However he had met an American
woman and moved to the states to be with her. He decided to open a
training school and teach his craft to those who were willing to learn.
Hayley was the only girl who entered the EPW school. Tagara would not
take it easy on her however. He treated her not as a girl but as a
student who needed to prove her work. Hayley lasted through the tough
training and graduated from the school much to the shock of her friends
and family.

It was hard for her to find work in the local promotions. Many of the
girls wouldn't face her due to her style and abilities. She was a
natural at the Joshi style and most of the girls just wanted to lok
pretty. Finally Tagara was able to get her a tour with a small Joshi
promotion in Japan. Joshi was far from it's glory days but the scene was
still thriving all be it on a smaller scale.

Hayley fit in well in Japan. She was able to wrestle the way she wanted
with no boundaries holding her back. In the beginning, the Japanese
dished out ungodly amounts of punishment. They didn't want an American
waltsing in and stealing their thunder. Hayley wouldn't quit however and
kept fighting. Eventually she earned the Japanese's respect. Soon she
wasn't refered to as the American wrestler. She became one of them. A
warrior who loved the fight.

While in Japan Hayley was shown a tape of the CWF. She marveled at a
large company willing to let the women wrestle. After seeing this, she
worked even harder to get better. The CWF had the best women competitors
in the world. Hayley Carter wanted to compete against them. She wanted
to be mentioned in the same breath as the best in the CWF.
