About The CWF

The CWF was created in 1999 by Ryan O'Neill. His Idea was to run a storyline based e-fed that was in many ways produced a show that was similar to a regular wrestling TV Show, Rather than a Role Play board or Flash Packets which divorced it'self from the true content of the show. Ryan thought of the Idea of combining the Role Play's and the Matches in one big show to gather the look and the feel of a real wrestling show. The CWF Is a Once In Two Weeks E-Mail based federation.. You can Roleplay/Flash for once a week rather than Role Playing everyday and getting burnt out or too busy to RP.

Number Of Wrestlers You Can Own

There is no limit for wrestlers you can Role Play as or own. CWF Is a All you can RP E-Fed. You are allowed as many wrestlers as you want as long as you can role play with them.

Titles and Divisions

The CWF eight titles to win, The CWF World Heavyweight Title, The CWF Intercontental Title, The CWF Extreme Title, The CWF U.S. Title, The CWF Tag Team Titles and the CWF Women's Title and CWF Women's Tag and U.S. Titles which has a Division all it's own. Mixed matches are allowed with Men Vs. Women etc.

How are matches decided ?

Match results are decided by the CWF President and the match writers (excluding any whose characters are involved in any way with the match). They take into account the following.

Factors that go into match decision (order of priority)

Quality and activity in roleplay. [See roleplay section for explanation.]

Furtherance of angles/storylines running at that time, or to start new angles/storylines/feuds etc.

Strat's from handlers for match. (Not Required) Submission of good ideas, or stratting to lose can effect match results. Similarly, the strats of other people can effect your match (if they choose to run-in or otherwise interfere).

Roleplaying

Roleplaying is done via e-mail and sent to the CWF President or you may RP on the Yahoo Group. on your roleplay it should consist of some form of playlet, describe the scene, your character, give their dialog. It shouldn't be too long but you definitely don't want it to be too short. Too see examples of how to Role Play just see CWF Loaded for a example

Roleplays should be relevant and interesting, they don't have to consist of 'I am the greatest, I'm gonna beat you up' dialog and should not be repetitive or harass anyone. They can show your character to be anything from cold hearted to psychotic to tough to friendly, sensitive, emotional or even weak and cowardly, they don't have to be "tough". If they are good (interesting, entertaining) they count in your favor. They SHOULD NOT under any circumstances contain any material that may offend or go beyond the border of good taste. Cursing is allowed as the CWF is rated PG - 13 for Mature for violence and adult situations and language.

Take your time and be careful when writing your flashes. Spelling and format as well as staying in character count quite a bit. The management has far too much to do each week without editing misspellings and unintelligible sentences. You can write a flash but make sure that you take your time and establish a real character.

What is NOT tolerated in any storyline or RP is rape, murder or animal abuse. Blatant Racism is also not tolerated in any form. This goes double for those with social media accounts.

Harassment of CWF Handlers whether through email or social media is not tolerated and you will be warned if you do it and the second time is automatic termination.

We operate primarily as a roleplaying fed, but we are more than happy to accept angles.

How The CWF Role Play's

Role Play's are set just before the matches take place on CWF Loaded and roleplays for this show must be set at the venue for the card and just prior to the card. The roleplays can be one of (a) an in-ring flash which consists of your wrestler/tag team coming to the ring and giving a speech/interview or (b) a backstage or dressing room interview. Or they can be vignettes as well set somewhere not in the Arena which are shown on the CWFTron The interviews should be carried out with David Goldman or Kevin Thompson

Strats for Matches (Optional)

You may send in Strat's but it is a optional thing and not mandatory. A strat should describe your wrestler's behavior/attitude/intentions for a match. It should contain information on how your wrestler will be dressed, any special actions at the start of the match, e.g. will they push or shove their opponent during the instructions, attack before the bell etc. It should contain a list of the moves that they'll try and use during the match, any special combination of moves they'll use to try to get a win. Any special areas of attack they'll try, e.g. they attack their opponents knee because they know it was injured in an earlier match. Aspects of their own or opponents character/style that they'll try and exploit (e.g. they're bigger than their opponent so they'll concentrate on power moves, or they're smaller but faster so they'll concentrate on high flying moves). You may even consider a series of moves in response to what you know about your opponent and their ring style for example.

You are allowed to strat to interfere in other people's matches. Be careful when doing so as the management feels this can be overused very quickly and the gimmick soon loses its excitement when it happens on nearly half the match cards. When strating for a run-in, you'll want to include things such as what your wrestler intends to do and more importantly...WHY. We need a good angle based reason to support a run in. Also, if your wrestler plans to execute a run-in with other wrestlers handled by other managers, then those other managers will need to send a strat for the run-in as well. Only one person needs to send a complete strategy involving the reasons for and actions to be taken in the run-in, but the other participating managers must send a strat saying they agree to your plan otherwise you may find yourself running in only to be outnumbered once they hit the ring.

Deadlines and Publication Dates

The CWF Operates on a Two week cycle, The CWF Loaded Preview is sent out on Sunday Morning and You have until Saturday Morning 8:00 AM Deadline to send in your promos or flashes or vignettes or strats CWF Loaded is sent out on Saturday Afternoon.

Challenges/Match Choices

Challenges can be sent to the CWF President and both opponents will be booked to fight . You should attempt to build some heat for your match via the promo's/flashes or a in ring flash. The management will also schedule matches between wrestlers to further storylines, build heat, create angles, hold title defenses etc.

A side note:We no longer accept outlandish characters like outrageous billionaires, superheroes, monsters, robots or aliens.. This is a serious e-wrestling federation and any submission of these characters will automatically be rejected.

And Finally....

Finally, remember that this is only a game and try not to take losses too seriously. We are all participating in writing a story. Enjoy it and have fun playing. That is our only goal.
