Upon arrival at the meet coaches will be given

blank labels (as shown at right) along with racing tags

and safety pins.  Labels need to be completed legibly

for each participating runner and affixed to a racing

tag.  Some coaches in the past have printed their

own labels prior to the meet to save time, and this is

is certainly allowed as long as the label includes

school, name, age, and sex.  Racing tags must be

pinned to each runner before the start of his or her race.

Nametags will be collected in order at the finish chute.

There will be extra labels and nametags at the stadium entrance and the finish chute for coaches who need extra.  Fun Run elementary participants do not need to wear a nametag.  There is no pre-entry data, so you do not need to submit a roster prior to the meet nor do you need to inform meet directors of roster changes.

Scoring and Results

Team scores will be announced and posted along the bleachers upon the completion of each race.

Barring unforeseen difficulties, complete individual and team results (including times) will be posted on this website by the following morning:

www.geocities.com/cwcrosscountry (click on Canal Winchester Invitational link)

A link to these results should also be accessible from www.canalwinchestersports.com and another link will also be posted on the Track & CC forum on:

www.jjhuddle.com

Emergency Backup Scoring

Runners will receive a note card with their overall place number upon finishing each race.  These note cards will be used as emergency backup only.  A loudspeaker announcement will be made if race directors need to use backup scoring, at which time coaches should place their note cards in the appropriately marked backup scoring envelope and turn it in to the press box.
