NOTE:At the time of the Battle of Gettysburg, Maj.-General John. F. Reynolds was in command of the Left Wing of the army, not the 1st Corps.  When he was given wing command, he gave Doubleday temporary command of the First Corps.  He was subsequently killed in action.
