Storky: How I Lost My Nickname and Won the Girl

Freshman Michael Pomerantz is definitely suffering. Saddled with a ridiculous nickname based on his skinny frame and wild Brillo-pad hair and lusting over super-hot friend Gina, Mike is a typical freshman geek. His father always brings his "bimbo delight" girlfriends with him on his visitation nights, his mother is dating his dentist, his sister is popularity personified and crush Gina tortures him with constant descriptions of her dates with a jock named Hunk. Still, Mike perseveres and eventually finds the strength to stand up for himself and find true love. This was a funny, sweet and realistic story. Caution to middle school for a lot of anatomical focus, including his "appendage" Rex and his obsession with breasts. Profanity-wise, it was pretty clean. Students will enjoy this one. Highly Recommended.
