Plucked from the formula of horror movies, the Pretty Little Devils are the most sought-after clique in Brookhaven, and nice-girl Hazel would do anything to be one of them. However, when she does get invited to join, the body count begins. The PLDs are also, strangely enough, a babysitting club (what would a horror movie be without babysitters?) who holds wild but carefully contained parties at the homes of their clients. Sadly for them, someone wants to hurt the PLDs and is mad enough to kill. This novel was fun in a cheesy, horror-film sort of way. The parties included alcohol and drugs, but the language was fairly mild, and none of this would be taken seriously anyway. Recommended.
