I saw this in the bookstores before I chose it to review, so I know it's quite popular. Written for adult fans of Lennon, this coffee-table book will also appeal to young adults. It's full of great photographs and detailed information about Lennon's life, from his birth during an air raid to his turbulent childhood, his formative years, his various bands, the Beatles, Yoko, Give Peace a Chance, and finally, his tragic death as he hurried home to see his son before he went to bed. This is very comprehensive - a must for Beatles fans and a good addition to a high school biography collection. There's nothing highly controversial in it - nothing that's not already publicly known - and I intend to keep my copy in the middle school library. Recommended.
