Scottie does not like change, and yet everything is changing, especially her friendship with Amanda, her suddenly popular best friend who suffers from a secret learning disability. When Scottie and Amanda discover their love of knitting, they start spending time at Knit-Wit, a yarn shop where they meet Tay and Bella. Tay is a hyperactive rebel who took up knitting as a dare from her guidance counselor, and Bella is an overeager formerly homeschooled girl who has never defied her parents. The four obsessive knitters forge a new and exciting friendship that lends support to each girl as they individually face challenges in their lives. The characters were well-developed as well as vibrant and endearing, and the plots were plausible and interesting. This book made me want to knit! Fans of the Sisterhood will enjoy this unlikely friendship as well, and knitting clubs may start sprouting up in high schools across the country! Highly Recommended.
