This is the new picture proggy I am using:-

It takes about 5 minutes to make preview pictures for a 2hr plus movie.
It's basically got 2 options :
1) Cap by hand : You playback the vid and Hit the button everytime you want one capture.
2) Auto-Cap : Choose a number of caps and let the machine capture automatically.
After that that, you have the choice to choose to save them as multiple files or as a collage.
One tip I can give about the caps is when about to save them, use a Tile Width and Tile Height (File/Options or when you save change it just before)
that is a multiple of the dimensions of your source file (cancels or lessens the effect of downsizing the caps)
Example : The vid is XVID 496 x 368 so for the collage I've half-sized the settings (248 x 184)
