That is done, so that the <destination adress> cant't trace where the click came from.

For example:
If i post my http://www.spekie.com here & you click it.
Than i can see in my spekie.com counter that someone came on my site from spamfreexxx.
If i don't like that, i could block hits from spamfreexxx.

But if i posted spekie.com here on spamfreexxx through an anonymouse site.
I can't see on the spekie.com counter where the click came from (as the anonymouse site hides the reffers).

Above is a very simple explenantion, so i hope it makes some sence lol.
