Subject: NM - A Way to watch unfinished rar movies
Maybe it's just me being a little slow, but it's isn't before recently I figured out how to watch a part of a movie rared to volumes with winrar.
This tecnique only works if you have the first part of the rared movie and so on (which means that if you have part 1,2,3,4 this will work, but if you have part 2,3,4 it will not)
1. Winrar demands all the pieces to unrar the movie.
2.When winrar asks for the next volume of the complete movie which you haven't downloaded yet, you minimize winrar without quitting the dialog box asking for the next volume.
3.Then you find the dir where the movie is unpacked to, select the movie and copy it. Now you can close winrar (it doesn't matter if you do so or not)
4. You now have an unplayable version of the movie which you want to make playable - download the progam divfix from "http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divfix.html"
5. When the program is downloaded you open it (it doesn't have to be installed) and press the "add files" button and add the movie you want to make playable.
6. The movie is then added and you should press the "rebuild index" button (you can uncheck the "keep origial file" field if you don't want divfix to make another copy of the movie)
7. Divfix then rebuilds the index. At some point divfix will say "Error offset" and the program may seem to be stuck, but that isn't the case - you just have to wait for a while and then divfix will say "Done"
8. Now you can go the the respective dir and watch the part of the movie that you have already downloaded!
