The Central Valley Rose Society (CVRS) was founded by Annette Dobbs in January of 1975 with 26 members.
In the past four years, the Central Valley has seen a huge influx of people from the Bay Area. The group decided to change the name to the Stockton Rose Society in hopes of attracting more members. We invite anyone to join with the only qualification being an appreciation of the rose. We meet at 2:00pm the third Sunday of every month in the community room of Venetian Terrace, 5020 Virtue Arc Drive, Stockton.(Take Marco Polo off Pershing; cross street is March Lane)
Visitors are always welcome at the meetings without any obligation to join the society. The SRS is also a chapter of the American rose society and membership in the ARS is encouraged.
