| I know every MOM could use a good laugh or two. Enjoy!! You can always tell the people who don't have children. They're the ones who think summer goes by so fast! Life affords no greater responsibility, no greater priviledge, than the raising of the next generation. A father was at the beach with his children when the four-year-old son ran up to him, grabbed his hand, and led him to the shore where a seagull lay dead in the sand. "Daddy, what happened to him?" the son asked. "He died and went to Heaven," the Dad replied. The boy thought a moment and then said, "Did God throw him back down?" |

| Why me, Lord? It's me Lord, you know, the one you multiply blessed? I just can't understand, why you picked me from the rest. I've never been as surprised, so I know that it was You! For I thought I was having just one, and found I was carrying two! As my body expanded, I did murmur and complain. Who knew that rolling over, would cause me so much pain! And my multiples would wrestle, while still inside the womb. I sometimes begged for mercy, as they shortly ran out of room! I remember the very morning, things just didn't feel right. I got to be delivered, and not once mind you, but twice! And following what felt like, having been run over by a train! My nurse happily announced, "It's time to nurse them both, again!" "Haven't I done enough?" I thought, as my husband did quietly rest. It would be my first lesson in patience, along with all the rest! Oh, how all those memories, seem like many years ago. As my multiples are growing up, those days don't seem so slow. In between the hard times, there's been twice as many laughs. Rescued frogs and mud pies, and at least a million baths! Twice the hugs and kisses and time spent on my lap. I don't regret a single minute, I would not give it back! I just want to say "Thank you, Lord", for not a day passes by, that I don't stop to remember, you saw fit to bless me not once, but twice... ~Amen Tricia Harris, MOM to Payton 13, Emma 7, Kathryn and Juliana 4 1/2 At our last meeting, we had 17 members present, with one new MOM, Jennifer joining us. She has 6 month-old twin boys, Seth and Caiden, along with older brother Felix, who's 1 1/2. Welcome Jennifer and we hope that you'll join us again soon! Beth Schlosser's daughter, Ashley Speagle, won the State NCMOM scholarship to assist in her educational advancement needs. Congratulations Ashley! We also received word from Teresa Clontz that her son will be coming home from Iraq on August 15th! He will be united with his new baby boy, along with his other son and wife. Come home safely! National Convention ~ Looking for a long-distance place to escape? How about San Diego for our National Convention to be held July 29 to August 4th. You'll get to see how our organization works at the national level while getting to spend time with other MOM's like yourself! The best part? Your husband and kids will never think to look for you there! You can read more details at www.nomotc.org (National Organization of Mothers of Twins Club). Fall Yardsale is scheduled for August 17th & 18th. It will be at New Hope Baptist Church, located off Hwy 127. It is located on the road behind Papa John's Pizza, (across from McDonald's) in the Viewmont area. More info will be coming about details regarding the yardsale, but please mark your calendars for August 17th & 18th. Let the world know you have multiples! Why not start with a Super MOM window decal for your car! They're a bargain at $2 or 3 for $5. So, what are you waiting for? Get one for yourself, a friend, or a relative with multiples and you'll be supporting your very own group of MOM's! Got T-Shirt ENVY? Get your very own red, Super MOM T-shirt at $8 each or $9 for XXL. E-mail me, Tricia Harris at [email protected] and envy no more! Catawba Valley Medical Center - Their website has so much information to offer you and your family. From there you can find workshops for yourself, your children and even seniors. Please check out the Calendar of Events section each month to see what new programs they might have available. Remember our next meeting on July 9th at 7:00 pm. Located at Day Surgery, follow the hallway to the first intersection, turn left and the Hospital Classroom is on the left.
