About the Coaches
2008 Varsity Coaches
Dan Berry- Head Coach
Dan has been coaching for over 45 years. He started the CV softball
program
in 1983 and won the Pacific League Title the very first year and
hasn't looked back.
He has won 16 league titles for Crescenta Valley High School.
At the start of the 2008
season Dan has a record of 476-101 (.824%) and a league record of
196-22 (.899%).
Mark Elliott- Assistant
Coach
Mark has been coaching softball for 32 years and this
will be
his 23rd year at Crescenta Valley. He is a graduate of
C.V.H.S.
and resides in the La Crescenta area with his wife and
3 kids.
Away from the field, Mark spends his time as a pitching
instructor, and has had several pitchers go on to win
CIF titles,
ASA National Titles and NCAA World series Championships.
He also gives clinics around the southland. Mark has
been on
Coach Berry's staff for 23 years at C.V and 3 years at
Pierce.
Coach Cervenka is in her 3rd year as an assistant coach in
the softball program
at C.V. Meredith graduated from Long Beach State Colleg in 2006
where she completed a steller career with the 49ers as one of their main
pitchers for 4 seasons. Her college career came after she completed 4 years
at C.V.H.S. where she set many high school, league and state records.
