Huper Magical Box... and in the box Cveta Majtanovic
On MTV Without Aladin
A highschool student from Novi Sad, Cveta Majtanovic (18), officially
became our musical "Idol". Just like Will Young in England, Kelly Clarkson in
the USA, Kurt Nilsen in Norway. while expecting World Idol, Cveta is seriously
building her career. She went to London, recorded a maxi-single, and by the
end of the year, her first album should be released. And of course, on her way
up to the stars, she got to the Huper Magical Box. She drew out 55 questions,
drew a self-portrait and didn't use the right not to answer one question.
1. What were you in your last life?
- An animal. I'm not sure, maybe a tiger.
2. What would you change about yourself if you could?
- Some personality characteristics. I want everything around me to be
always in perfect order, and that's not always possible. I'm often late, which
is really terrible.
3. Your first association on "Idol"?
- I think that, logically, I've become the first association on "Idol".
Even next year, when the new season starts, the audience will always remember
the first idol.
4. If you had Aladin's lamp, what would you wish?
- I'm very imaginative and I always have a ready list for Aladin. I want
to end highschool successfully and go to college, but I don't need a ghost
from the lamp for that. With Aladin I wish to make sure that I'll show up on
MTV, but I think that I can do it without him.
5. Who would you sing with in a duet: Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera,
Mariah Carey?
- I prefer Whitney Houston, but Mariah Carey would be OK. Christina
Aguilera too. Our voices would be a good combination. She is a soprano, and
I'm an alto. Why not?
6. Describe yourself in six words?
- An early riser, diligent, persistent, I love sweets and going out.
7. Favourite fashion detail?
- Watch and glasses.
8. What will you remember about "Idol"?
- It was a very nice experience. I found new friends. Of 10 finalists,
I'm in touch with 4 or 5.
9. Where do you see yourself in five years time?
- I see myself big time in a huge house in Hollywood Hills, somewhere
above the letter "W".
10. Why did Titanic sink?
- The complete team had low blood pressure and they just fell asleep.
I've been in London recently and saw the place where the tickets for the
famous Titanic trip had been sold.
11. Which city would you like to live in?
- I like London a lot, but I couldn't live there because of the climate.
Even with all the crowd and rush, New York sounds good. I would live there for
a while and then go somewhere to take a rest. I would consider Los Angeles,
too.
12. The first concert you've been to?
- "Zmajeve decje igre". ("Zmaj's Children Games")
13. The first and the last album you've bought?
- The last - Lenny Kravitz "Greatest Hits", and the first - the first K2
album.
14. Think out an ideal band which would follow you?
- I don't have to think - it already exists: Red Hot Chili Peppers.
15. Is Jennifer Lopez better actress or a singer?
- In my opinion she is not much of a singer. She is sex simbol and she
looks great, but her voice isn't anything special. Yet, she launched something
new. For her as an actress I give her a B+.
16. Which ring tone do you have on your mobile phone?
- I don't have a ring tone, I dont like that. It's usually on vibration
because I'm either at school or I can't answer because of some other duties.

- How much time do you need to think out a question for the Huper Box?
18. Describe orange colour?
- Yellow-orange combinatin is the winning combination. Orange is happy,
optimistic, with vitamin C.
19. If you could choose, which aminal would you be?
- A parrot.
20. Which film have you seen more than 5 times?
- I've seen "What Women Want" more than 10 times, but never from the
beginning.
21. Favourite part of the day?
- Morning.
22. Which colour is Tuesday?
- Yellow.
23. What would you do if you were invisible?
- I'd try different things. I'd make intrigues, he he...
24. When did you realise that music would be your occupation?
- I've always listened music... Even when I was a kid, I went in front
of the house with my friends and a cassette player, and we played cassettes,
made choreography, and made a "band". I was five.
25. Would you prefer taking a ride in a submarine or a spaceship?
- In a spaceship.
26. Would you give a guest performance in "Friends", "Beverly Hills" of "The
X Files"?
- In "Friends", definitely. I think they're having a great time on sets
and it would be nice with them. I'd do well.
27. Draw a self-portrait!
- The drawing added.
28. Which ice-cream flavour would you invent?
- I'd mix some ingredients, syrups and icings made of chocolate and
caramel, then straciatella flavour, but without rum. That ice-cream would have
to be called "Cveta's Flavour".
29. How do the record preparation go?
- Great! I've done maxi-single which should be out soon. There are 3
songs on it.
30. Who would you call as a special guest on your record?
- Whitney Houston.
31. If you could, who would you change places with for at least 5 minutes?
- With Jennifer Lopes. I would hire her for five minutes and go through
the city with her. I don't respect her as a singer, but I like her
imagination. She's launched clothes, perfume, creme, and she doesn't think of
stopping. Going to shopping with her is a good idea.
32. Which colour is your toothbrush?
- Orange.
33. Which song you wish you'd written?
- "Shoop Shoop Song".
34. Why can't dogs and cats stand each others?
- I know a lot of them which can stand each others great. There, my cat
doesn't make angry noises
at all and it agrees with dogs.
35. What do you hum these days?
- What i first hear on the radio, I hum it all day. Today, No Doubt -
"It's My Life" is on the repertoire.
36. What have you lost last?
- I haven't lost it; my bicycle was stolen a year ago.
37. What does it feel like to became an idol officially?
- It's the feeling of unbelievable happiness when you want to hug all
the world.
38. Do people recognize you on the street?
- Yes, since the first broadcast.
39. Musical heroes?
- Madonna. She is more of an artist than she is a singer. She sings
better than on her first album, she is a master, she sets trends. She is the
first to do everything, and the others then copy her. That's why she is a hero.
40. How many hours of sleeping do you need?
- Eight - and it's too much.
41. Whose phone number would you like to have in your phenebook?
- Maybe Nikola Djuricko's. When I'm down, I think one conversation with
him would make me feel better.
42. Would you rather be a strawberry or a raspberry?
- A strawberry.
43. Favourite flower?
- Lilly.
44. Tell us something we don't know about you.
- I'm a big socks collector.
45. Who would play you in a movie?
- Angelina Jolie.
46. Who's the best: Will Young, Kurt Nilsen or Kelly Clarkson?
- For me, the most impressive were Kelly and Kurt, but since I've heard
Kurt live, maybe then he's at the top.
47. Favourite subject at school?
- The door-knob which opens the door when you go out.
48. What do you eat pancakes with?
- With my fingers, Eurocream and Plazma bisquites.
49. Which superhuman abilities would you like to have?
- The ability to fly. More precisely, to swim through the air and clouds.
I've dreamed of it a few times.
50. Favourite song?
- All idols' song "Idol" and this mine, "Nisam ista".
51. Who would you go out with: Enrique Iglesias, Robbie Williams or Justin
Timberlake?
- I'd rather go out with one of our guys, lets say Srdjan Todorovic.
52. Who wouldn't you take to a desert island?
- I certainly wouldn't take a hot guy. What do I need him for there? I
go to take a rest of everything.
53. If you had to leave your flat, which three things would you take with
you?
- Books, computer and photos, cassettes and CDs...
54. Which is the most exotic dish you can cook?
- Coffee from the machine.
55. Are you happy with your name?
- Since recently I wasn't, but now I am. I got it after my dad's mum.
