RAY SALYER

Funeral services were held August 28 1983 in Jones-Preston 
Funeral Home Chapel for Ray L. Salyer, 80.

Mr. Salyer died August 26 in Highland Regional Medical Center,
Floyd Co Ky., after an extended illness.

He was born September 3 1902, in Johnson County, the son of
Addison Salyer and Cora Rice Salyer.

He was a resident of Hager Hill, a retired miner and a member
of the Church of God.

His wife, Glady Howard Salyer, preceded him in death March 14 1982.

Surviving are three sons, Harold L. Salyer, Texarcana, Texas;
Tilden R. Salyer, Paintsville, and Lowell G. Salyer,
San Antonia, Texas; a daughter, Wilma Verne Wooten, Ann Arbor,
Michigan; a brother, Billy Salyer, Rising Sun, Ind;
three sisters, Pauline Blair and Ruth Salyers, Barnett's Creek;
and Bethel Lowe, Ashland; two grandchildren
and one great grandchild.

Dewey Earl Music officiated at services with burial in
Music-Hyden Cemetery Hager Hill.
