William ‘Boots’ Rice 

MUNFORDVILLE — William A. “Boots” Rice, 79, of Horse Cave died 
at 6:05 p.m. Aug. 29, 2000, at his home. 
The Hardyville native was a retired truck driver for Branstetter 
and Co. and a World War II Army veteran. He was a son of the late 
Luther Rice and Hadley Bradley Rice. 

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bearwallow Baptist Church, 
where he was a member, with burial in Woodsonville Memorial 
Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 
after 9 a.m. Saturday at Hawkins-Brooks Funeral Home. 

Survivors include his wife, Nettie Christine Rice; a son, 
Clarence Clifton Rice of Munfordville; three grandchildren; and 
a great-granddaughter.
