Viola Howard Rice
 
Viola Howard Rice, 95, of Stamping Ground, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002. 
She was the widow of Roy Rice.

She was born on Sept. 28, 1906, and was the daughter of the late Calvin 
and Daisey Hall Howard. She was a homemaker and a member of the Long 
Lick Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce (E. Jay) Tackett, of Stamping Ground; 
two grandchildren, Pat (Park) Tackett and Michael (Linda) Tackett; and 
four great-grandchildren, Julie Warrington, Andrew Tackett, Ross Tackett 
and Clifton Tackett.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, LeAnne Tackett; and a great-
grandson, Jay C. Vallandingham.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2002, at the 
Masonic Cemetery in Stamping Ground with the Rev. Steve Bruce officiating.

Casket bearers will be Mrs. Rice’s grandson and great-grandsons.

Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
