RICE, Verlie L. Age 75, of Highland Terrace, Prestonsburg, died Thursday, 
April 6, 2000, at his residence after a long illness. 'He was born November 
15, 1924, at East Point, the son of the late Margaret (Maggie) Music and 
Judd Rice. He was a retired parking lot attendant for the City of 
Prestonsburg and attended the First Church of God. He is survived by two 
brothers, Thomas J. Rice of Hager Hill and John D. Rice of East Point, and 
two sisters, Vertice Cartmell of Prestonsburg and Nell Conley of East Point.  
Burial was in the Richardson Family Cemetery at East Point
