SALLY RICE

Mrs. Sally Leslie Rice, 72, wife of Robert Rice of Grundy,
Virginia, died Saturday at the home of her daughter in Grundy, Va.,
following an illness of several months.

Born May 24, 1880 in Johnson county, she was the daughter of the
late Amos and Amanda Conley Leslie.

Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Willard Rice, and
Clarence Rice, both of Paintsville; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest
Grimes, Springfield, Ohio; Mrs. William Phillips, Detroit, Mich.;
and Miss Thelma Rice, Grundy, Va.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at the home of her son,
Willard Rice, with the Rev. S. C. Honeycutt officiating.  Music was
by the Paintsville Quartet.

Interment was made in the family cemetery at Lick fork under the
direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
