ROY RICE
Mr. Roy Jackson Rice, 90, of 446 West Office Street, died Monday, December 14, 1998 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. 

Born May 28, 1908 in Moreland, he was the son of the late Jackson and Julia Clem Rice. 

He was a retired store manager for Farmers Supply after 43 years, a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, a lifetime member of the Knights Pythians Lodge, and was the widower of Louise Slaughter Rice. 

Survivors include: his son, William Ronald (Ronnie) Rice, Harrodsburg; one brother, William Samuel Rice, Middletown; nine half brothers, one half sister, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Rice. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 17, at 2:00 p.m. at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Dr. David Hartman and Rev. Gene Eason officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Eric Rice, Jack Morris, Forrest Bradshaw, Drew Rice, Bobby Sheperson, James Crawford, Jr., Ricky Rice, Tommy Singleton, Zenah Teater and Dan Chilton. 

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Harrodsburg Christian Church, 305 S. Main Street, Harrodsburg, KY 40330; Heritage Hospice, PO Box 1213, Danville, KY 40422; or the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital, 464 Linden Ave., Harrodsburg, KY 40330. 

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, and after 7:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
