Paul Rice 

1933-1998 Paul Rice, 64, of Spring Hill,  
Fla., died Thursday, March 19, 1998, at 
Spring Hill Regional Hospital in Spring 
Hill, Fla. He was born August 12, 1933, 
in Johnson county, the son of Dewey Rice 
and Ollie Conley.  He was retired from 
General Motors. He was preceded in death 
by his parents. He is survived by his 
wife, Lily Lawson Rice; one son, Paul 
David Rice of Spring Hill, Fla.; one 
daughter, Debra L. Lucas of Spring Hill, 
Fla.; five brothers, Charlie Rice of 
Wittensville; John Rice of East point; 
Caul Rice of Huber Heights, Ohio; Lindsey 
Rice of Grove city, Ohio; and Doug Rice 
of West Van Lear; three sisters, Hemalee 
Andy of Garrettsville, Ohio; Garnet Moore 
of Dayton, Ohio; and Helen Violet of 
Urbana, Ohio; six grandchildren; and three 
great- grandchildren. Graveside services 
were March 23, at Highland Memorial Park 
Cemetery in Staffordsville with Dick 
VanHoose officiating and Jones-Preston 
Funeral Home caring for those arrangements.
